Stunned at the amount of people who expect us to make a top four challenge with Kane as our 3rd striker. And that's still assuming that Soldado actually finds his feet.

What is palpably obvious this season is that its quality in the final third which makes the difference and we're well behind. Coaching can obviously help but Ade, Soldado, Eriksen aren't enough. Lamela may come to the party but we still don't know how he will settle. Even so, we are short of players who can make a difference.

I would love us to go for Lallana and Rodriguez but as has been said, I think Lallana will join the many players who go to a big top four and barely play.

Can absolutely see Lallana at Utd or City. Shaw at Chelsea. 2 massive losses for Saints could see them struggle next yr

We need to address our whole defensive unit. We also need more goal scorers in our squad.

We need a leader to marshall the back line too -in my opinion this is the biggest factor

If you are playing with one at top you can't make three class strikers happy. Pool has only Suarez and Sturridge, Arsenal only Giroud. Adebayor and Soldado are a good pair. If someone is missing we have the likes of Chadli and Lamela to cover.
You see this season a too big squad when you are not in the CL isnt too good, as you soon have lots of unhappy players.
But to have only one avg LB is bs.

Rodriguez and Lallana and a CB would be excellent business.

If you play one up top and have three strikers one needs to be able to play another position such as wide or no10 if you've got any chance of keeping them happy IMHO

can't we just hire Althletico Madrid's forwards scout? I mean when was the last time they had a rubbish striker?

Torres sold, Augero comes through
Augero sold, buy Falcao
Falcao goes, hello Diego Costa

Rasiak anyone...

Why not? Arsenal have gotten reasonably close to the title with Yaya Sanogo as their second choice striker. If we go into next season planning to play two up front, which we probably wouldn't with Van Gaal, then yeah maybe go and sign another one, otherwise Kane is fine. You can't keep 3 top strikers happy if you're only playing one up front.

I fully expect a shake up at the end of the season, mainly behind closed doors with Broomfield now in and maybe Van Gaal but also with the playing staff. And to be honest, we need it.

I can see Rose (he won't be backup), Siggy, Paulinho or Dembele, Townsend or Lennon (likely Lennon) and Livermore being the first lot sold. Naughton and Dawson are decent backup but Kaboul we'd definitely have to assess (flipping hope he's ok tho).

Holtby and Capoue will depend on if they're happy being squad players, their attitudes and decent offers.

That's approx 50m to 60m.

Guys like Lloris and Vertonghen will depend on them and the money on offer. But I'll anticipate we can keep them and get them motivated.

We all know Spurs have money in the bank, it's been mentioned enough times and with the changes and above sales, I'd expect a few £20m players, whom Broomfield will hopefully be looking at already.

We don't need to shop solely at the £10m - £15m range anymore because we've increased the value of the squad.

Ideally Konoplyanka (gonna be tough!), Modric replacement and a quality LB. The latter two being players already able to perform at a high level. Pjanic for example and Coentrao.

Boom.

What we are crying out for is a Nourredine Naybet. (Exactly a decade later) Still remember the way he walked into our side, found his feet immediately - led by example - and brought much needed composure to our defence. He'd be barking out orders and organising that backline.

You have 18 non-home grown players on that list which is 1 too many. Rules say that 8 of the 25 squad have to be HG. If you only have 6 (as you do) then we can only register a 23 man squad.
