Weirdly the player I'd be most excited about signing in the summer would be caulker.

Casillas...??

I thought the thread contained the word "realistic"..... even if he isn't playing for Real Madrid.. we wouldn't be signing him..

and everyone knows the "partnership" is a one way deal !

I just hope we don't have a massive squad overhaul AGAIN. It's not needed and we've all seen the problems it's brought this season.

I think alot of fans need to realise that many of the new players have had inconsistent performances due to the environment they've come in to. Not because they don't have the talent to succeed.

We're not that far off IMO.

Lloris and Jan should be told they're staying, end of. Don't like it? Welcome to the Under 21s...

Our biggest challenge is getting the best out of some of our underperforming players - Soldado, Lamela (not had a chance to be fair), Paulinho and Dembele. Each has promise but not met their potential.

I'd add a CB, LB, CF and somebody to boss the midfield alongside Sandro - characters I believe TS calls them :)

To be honest if he left Real Madrid and Lloris left us, we would be the only top team in Europe after a keeper

Personally happy with the squad numbers and positional depth at the minute. Will need a new centre back if Kaboul goes and back up keeper (archer fine as third choice).

Then need to upgrade quality of first 11. Left back a must and anything else a bonus.

Other than that a rocket up the arse and replace anyone who leaves (poss Hugo & Jan), plus sell returning loanees (BAE, Jake etc).

CB,LB,CM,LW,GK is what we'll most likely need this summer imo. Next summer we will probably need another CB or two and a striker.

In terms of outgoings I could see about 8 leaving permanently and a few loaned out.

Ones in bold i think will be gone next yr. Lloris and Vertonghen due to no CL, Lamela just simply think he will ask for a move and play the old homesick card and probably get his way. In terms of ins, ashley cole no chance. curtis davies possible :D konoplyanka liverpool player in waiting imo

Need to take into account without CL, a lot of the "realistic" squads will probably include players whose clubs are in CL next yr, therefore would they leave CL for EL? Doubtful. Also factor in the huge outlay last summer and I dont foresee a big summer at Spurs in all honesty.

Nothing like the summer just gone, not anywhere near. Be shopping from the "lesser" markets too

Stunned at the amount of people who expect us to make a top four challenge with Kane as our 3rd striker. And that's still assuming that Soldado actually finds his feet.

What is palpably obvious this season is that its quality in the final third which makes the difference and we're well behind. Coaching can obviously help but Ade, Soldado, Eriksen aren't enough. Lamela may come to the party but we still don't know how he will settle. Even so, we are short of players who can make a difference.

I would love us to go for Lallana and Rodriguez but as has been said, I think Lallana will join the many players who go to a big top four club and barely play.

Would be more than happy with that squad! Possibly another midfielder better than Carroll/Bentalab.

As you say think we will be stuck with Lennon!
