Behind the best CB combination in the EPL. Now picture him behind the comedy defence we've fielded for most of the season. Yes, he's pretty good, pulled off some spectacular saves for the Baggies, but probably only has his second-choice slot with the Soccerballs because of Foster's injury.

I note that he's made 12 league appearances in two seasons. Doubtless you've watched all of these games in full; you'd have to be a total idiot to make the claims you do if you hadn't, right?

Wow, all these super scouts we have.

Hutton Woodgate King Bale
T'Hudd
Lennon Jenas Rose
Bent Berbatov

Rose is the real deal I tell thee! I'm a big Steed fan though don't get me wrong.

We have a new defence. Wholesale changes just not required. No superstars, look at the worry Berbs brings us all the time!

Believe me he is very good. Why do you think Sir Alex bought him?

And yes I have seen him play a lot. At WBA and at ManYoo and he has been impressive.

Ok pops?

I think you can ignore that one, the same post suggested we buy Gary O'Neil... :duh:

As squad players, yes. I've named a squad that included big money players like Lucho, Garay and N'Zogbia, and so we wouldn't have much cash left to spend on top,top quality cover.

Sorensen was my choice as experienced back up for Ustari while he settles into the country. Ustari's only a young lad and, while he's got great potential, I'd rather give him some time to bed himself in.

Sorensen's a proven keeper who would come relatively cheap on a short term deal knowing he can get some games early on in his contract. I did consider Jussi, but he'd want to be No 1 all the time.

As for O'Neil, like I said, he'd be good cover for Jenas and Lennon. If you watch him closely, you'd find his physical attributes are perfect for Ramos' style of play, closing down play for 95 mins and also have enough energy to make forward bursts at speed when we are counter attacking.

Think of him as a younger, less cynical Michael Brown. You'll come to love him when he's busting a gut out there on the pitch for us week in, week out.

I've opted to choose a squad instead of a starting 11, and we can't have a squad of all big name, big money signings. Sorensen and O'Neil are proven Prem players.

Because Fergie likes keepers who can get beat from distance?

See if you can spot the similarities.

Actually, we do need some sort of back-up for Lennon in right-midfield. We had the debate on my squad analysis thread last week - some people felt Steed could do that job; others would rather Steed stayed on the left where he's been immense this year.

If we do need a new right-sided midfielder it's blatantly going to initially be as back-up to Lennon. Within this country there's very few players that could be. O'Neil isn't the right answer. Not because he's not of the right quality but because of the fee he'd command. He cost Boro £5m.

As back-up for VdS?

Fergie also bought that maniac Barthez, Talbi, Carroll and Bosnich.

I'm gonna go with:

.....................Neuer..........................

Hutton.....Woodgate....King........Bale

Lennon....Lucho......Poulsen.....Downing
(Steed) .............................. (Steed)
.............Keane....Berbatov............

Subs: Cerny, Gilberto, Steed, Jenas, Bent

A little controversial I know. I think I am the only person who has dropped JJ. Not that I don't think he is good or does a lot for the team, just want a really solid consistent tough central midfield.

Oh and people picking shit keepers....don't. Isaksson, you mean the same one who is behind Hart at City?

Does Ustari speak English? If we're looking at a first choice central-defensive partnership of King and Woodgate we're going to need someone that can communicate with them.

I got a feeling Ramos is building towards a 3-5-2 system and think this would work quite nicely:

GK - Robbo - i would love nothing more than him to return to form.

CB - King
CB - Woody
CB - Hudd - his range of passing is very useful and with King and Woody alongside him, he can be creative...

LWB - Bale
RWB - Hutton

DM - Poulsen
CM - Jenas
AM - Lennon

STR - Keane
STR - Berba

I don't think were too far from having a very good team as it is.....
