Spurs need a GK, another top CB as King's fitness is in doubt, and a CM. Another 40mill would be enough  Diego won't happen as he is chased by the big boys but a top top class CM is necessary.

I'm delighted to see you still have Berba at Spurs next August! It's amazing what a top coach, a couple more top players, and hopefully a cup win or two can do...

Have we learnt nothing? A quality defensive midfielder should be our top priority to protect our back 4. All the top teams have one. Tainio is caple of doing the job but we should be looking to improve on him.

A midfield of Jenas and Diego would get torn apart. Jenas has been playing well recently and getting more involved in our attacking play. With a quality holding midfielder I think he'll get even better.

Jenas wil play as a holding midfielder, if a better is not available.

If Jenas is our best midfielder, and he's more offensive. Surely it makes sense to invest in the position in which we are weaker, that being the defensive midfield.

To fit Diego into our team either Lennon or Keane would have to be dropped, to play a diamond midfield or 451 with Diego sitting in the hole. Having said that, Sir Alex seems to be managing to get Anderson playing well in a 4 man midfield which I didnt think was gonna work because he lack the physical presence, its probably more to do with the fact that he has Carrick or Hargreaves behind him though, which we dont have, which brings me back to my point, that we need a defensive midfielder, and............................breath.

Much as I'm surprised by it. I agree with you.

GK I think Cerny's done ok. If Robbo can regain form blah blah blah. I dunno. Maybe Canizares as a stop gap for a season or two?

Lefties Bale, Gilberto and I reckon we'll go for Diego Capel (if he wants to go Sevilla will sell). Steed also an option.

Righties Hutton, Lennon and Chimbo (if he stays). KPB seems to be favoured by Ramos too. Personally I don't think he's got the pace or the guile to play right midfield. I don't know why but I have a feeling Zokora could do well on the right.

Centre Backs Woody, King, Kaboul, Dawson. They're fine - just let JR work with them. If King's crocked then we'll have to see how the young lads Dervitte and Mills will develop. That or get in a usual suspect - Garay/Jarque. With all this youth we should go for a really experienced pro. Naybet mark 2 if you will.

Centre mids JOH, Hudd, JJ, sneaky swap Defoe for Diarra. TT to stay and rotate as he's bound to get injured some time. Definitely someone with bite to bring in unless Juande can get Zokora playing to what we want him to be (ball winning inspiration who dominates the midfield). A young Dietmar Hamann would be ideal.

Forwards Keano, Berba, Bent, Taarabt (future no.10). If Berba leaves - I'd like to see Bent given a run. Otherwise...supposedly Fred is decent. Or we could wait for Pekhart to become a striking legend (won't happen until he's mid 20s I reckon) or Terry Dixon to be the new Rooney. Better, more thug-looking and uglier. Although for those that can remember we had the Welsh Rooney as well. Scott Thyer anyone?!
