GK Foster (an unlikely & cheap English option. Stekelenburg is more likely to be our no 1 next year IMO)

RB Hutton

CB Woody

CB King

LB Bale

RM Lennon

CM Veloso (being a bit over-optimistic here as I'm not sure if we could beat the strong competition for his signature. However he'd be worth it as he's the midfielder we CRAVE.)

CM Jenas

RM Steed

FD Keane

FD Berbatov

Rest: Cerny, Daws, Kaboul, Chimbo, Gilberto, Gunter (don't like his chances of getting much footie, looking like he should be loaned out next year), Dervitte, Zokora, O'Hara, Hudd, Boateng, Taarabt, Bent, Rose

Gone: Rocha, Lee, Teemu :)cry:), Robbo, and the loan people (Alnwick, Gardner, Stalteri, Ghaly, Defoe, Barcham)

***NOTE: Only 2 signings there! You know we've got 30 players there that we currently own! Eek Trimmings to the squad have to be made in the summeras it would surely make it a bit more possibile of offering good wages to a top class player

Don't think there needs to be much activity in the summer really although...........

I believe we will rid ourselves possibly of all our keepers in the summer and will be forced to bring in 2 if not 3,

We need a top class defensive midfielder

We need another striker to replace Berbs - questionably we may need a fourth choice one as well (don't know what the reserves are like?

Would like us to be in for Downing as well to provide another option.

And we should have a look at James Henry (from Reading) as well as one for the future.

It's a toughie especially down the left-hand side with Bale and Malbranque quality and Gilberto should also be good...

Think we just need a good holding midfielder now and possibly a new forward if Bent leaves and another centre back although Dawson looks good alongside Woodgate or King and Kaboul may be much improved next season!

lol flatters you gave me a laugh cheers!

i thought most spurs fans dreamt of a team of robbie keanes..:

-----------keane
keane--keane---keane--keane
keane--keane---keane--keane
-------keane---keane

with keane, keane, keane, keane, and keane on the bench, or perhaps:

--------keane
---keane---keane
keane-----------keane

------keane
keane-----------keane
---keane--keane

with same subs.

But for a more realistic option:

-----------------------------------Cech

british war tank------british war tank----british war tank---british war tank

Lennon-Kaka made a little younger-Ronaldinho made a little younger-C.Ronaldo

------------------------Pele made younger----Henry made younger, but one that hates the scum

bench: C ronaldo clone, lennon clone, henry clone, cech clone, and chirpy the mascot

other squad members: steffen freund, martin jol

All players to be fitted with puma speed legs like the ones in the tv ad.

How can you still have Chimbonda in the team?? :eek:mg: He has been horrible this year and Hutton or Gunter would start in my team over him. Other than that I don't think that is a bad lineup but might put Gilberto ahead of Steed just because Gilberto is a natural left footer unlike Steed who cuts inside way too much for my liking.

Granted Steed has been great this year I want to see him rotated with Lennon on right wing to see if he will actually attack down the wings or if he is destined to always cut inside no matter what winger spot he is in.

Stekelenburg
Hutton Woody King Gilberto
Lennon Jenas Poulsen Bale
Berbs Keane

Although, I would like Robbo to regain his form and place when deserved, cos with Woody and King infront of him, it'll help Spurs and England..Also wouldn't mind Downing.

CM Poulsen/other decent hard man
LM Bale/Steed (rotation between the two)

ST Berba
ST Keano

Yes, I honestly believe that, bar perhaps at GK, we only need a good, tough central midfielder after our excellent January window.
That's assuming Berbatov stays of course. If he doesn't we'll need a new striker as well.

EDIT: Not trying to slag off Bent, but it's obvious that we can't only have Bent and Keane as top strikers if Berba leaves.

Some truly bizarre keeper selections. Kuszak? Isaksson? Sorensen? And did my old eyes deceive me when I saw Foster described as an unlikely and cheap English option?

Apparently not.

Are people opting for Stekelenburg because he's been 'linked' with us, or have they been religiously following Ajax on Setanta?

I must strongly disagree, my good man. Chimbonda has been immense this season.

Granted he does not track back as often, as he perhaps should, but he's great going forward, and people seem to underestimate the unyielding effort he puts in, game after game (Jol period and post...).

He never gives up!

...Hutton, you say:think:... He had a rather good debut, yet he did not look as comfortable on the ball going forward (could be nerves:shrug:), as, hmm let's say Chimbonda...

Well I guess we'll just have to wait and see...
