Taarabt is a pure number 10. It would be like playing Ronaldinho at central midfield in the premiership (though I'm not ofcourse suggesting he is in any other way comparable other than position). He has abysmal work ethic and never tackles. He makes Kranjcar look like Roy Keane.

I always thought of him as an attacking midfield player or a winger more than a number 10.

For QPR when he was starting before they imploded, he was playing as a left sided wing forward with Routledge on the right and Simpson in the middle. But he was given license to roam and reguarly took up the central space behind Simpson with Leigertwood and Watson mopping up. Been to about 12 hoops games this season so have a pretty good idea of how he plays.
He's an extremely talented footballer, but is a complete headcase and would be laughably poorly suited to the hurly burly of premiership central midfield. Won't make it at Spurs unless Kranjcar somehow leaves, oh and Modric...

Livemore has come back to cover CM and Wilson as he is only 1booking away from being suspended, or so i read somewhere, Adel wouldnt be cover for him so thats why livemore was called back
