I'm not a massive fan of 4-4-2 with the players we have but I think Ramos needs to get back to basics and the sort of system that made him successful at Sevilla.

With Pavlyuchenko out, there is the temptation, and I'm not sure Ramos could resist, to play with a flating 2 or 3 behind the striker. But thats the last thing we need right now.

I want Gio up in a 2, not a 1-1. He will naturally come deep for the ball, but I dont want him coming deep when we play the ball up to Bent.

I've put Bentley in and hope we can get something from set pieces and maybe he can do some magic too as I don't think we'll get much joy from his crosses

Same as Kendall's, except maybe the Hudd alongside JJ and Lennon on the right. The Hudd's usually pretty effective in European games.

If Modric and Zokora picked up injuries on Monday I assume they won't be risked.
