Woah. No need to denigrate the one player who made his time at the club worth watching just to make a point about Lamela. It is possible to appreciate both you know, and Ginola put it on an absolute plate fire our striker constantly for the years, not his fault he was servicing a knackered Ferdinand, a broken Armstrong and a forever unfit Iversen.the people that dislike Lamela I would bet they love The ginola flashy type player all flash no substance .
Lamela has always played giving his all you cannot ask for more .
With GLC and Ndombele behind them we'll be extremely dangerous. Set up narrow against us and you allow quality crosses from Doherty, Aurier, Reguilon into Kane and Bale. Set up wide to stop Son and Bale / the wing backs then there's acres for GLC and Tanguy to thread through balls to. Now Tanguy has shown good work rate recently there's even a case to play this against park the bus teams:Defenders won’t k ow how to Deal with Kane, Son and Bale .. last night Kane on for 20 mins changed the dynamics with the defenders, imagine how chaotic it would be with Bale in the mix of Son and Kane too!
Very glad Son is back after the internationals and that it's not too serious. Was very worried we might not see SKB this season.
Well, Bale and Kane certainly have questionable injury records. Bringing in a back up striker will definitely help to get SKB on the pitch more which will win us games.Really? This season?! Just because Sonny had a hamstring niggle a few games into the season?
You must have one hell of a pessimistic attitude to life!
Nah because I knew you'd be fake happy/absolutely fuming when he scored, which means you'd have to come back to this thread and try and save face.
The words of someone with too much substance..Ginola had no substance? Did I read that correctly?

Why would I not just be happy a player scored to help the team? I can still do that and not pretend he's anything better than an average player.
It's not about being world-class. It’s about being a reliably good option whether starting or coming off the bench. And by good, I mean having and displaying actual footballing qualities relative to one’s position. This isn’t the case with Lamela 90% of the time though, even though he’s had PLENTY of time and opportunity to improve and develop, so instead we focus on and over-emphasise soft-skills like loyalty and tenacity.
I can say all that and still appreciate that he was key against Chelsea.
Genuinely an 70 goal season in all comps with these three, gonna be fun watching them.
any discussion of 70 goal hauls from the trio borderline delusional
11 down 59 to go - potentially over 55 matches to play, lol you sure you don't want to take this back
My point was about the respective injury records making it very unlikely......and two thirds of the trio are currently injured. Great to see us scoring a lot of goals at the moment but history says it'll be very tough to keep it going at the same rate.
Very tough? We haven't even seen Bale yet and they're averaging around 1.6 gpg, it's very likely they are breaking that 70 goal mark. Despite the fact we're missing 2 of them at the moment. Last 3 seasons they averaged just over 60 goals despite the freak injuries for Kane and Bale not being picked for Real.
No need to double down, just enjoy
Correct me if I'm wrong, but there's only been one season ever where the trio have broken the 70 goal barrier between them. But hey, 1.6 gpg so far? Well that's great! All we need to do is make sure that half our games are Europa League qualifiers for the rest of the season and then even with Kane and Bale's injury records they should get there in no time.
Maybe so but I think I prefer to take the last few seasons as their general recent form not some arbitrary season which you pick and choose just so it aligns with your point.
Well yeah that was indeed the point, taking Europa League qualifying matches into account hence why I said in all competitions and even if you want to dismiss them so much and only count the league (because I'm trying to help you out here for your sake) at the moment the are averaging 52 league goal across the season lol Obviously that will fluctaue but I think it's pretty delusional to suggest that they won't reach that feat.
