Is anyone else's mates really underestimating our Bale signing? Got Arsenal fans saying he will always be injured, will only play golf etc etc. I really hope Bale can prove everyone wrong.

They can talk about golf all they want, but everybody knows that they will be shitting themselves if we face them with Son - Kane - Bale upfront.

He'll almost certainly be back by the time we play them. If he's in the matchday squad...

They. Are going. To shit themselves.

Seriously, as a defender you are categorically NOT looking forward to the match when you those three names on the team sheet.

If they stay fit they will rip teams a new arsehole.

How do you even play against them? Who do you mark? If you double up on one of them it leaves the other two space.
Who is the least deadly? There isn’t one. All of them have got weapons grade firepower.

What an awful conundrum for opposition defences going forward. Hah

I bet Jose already knows how he’s going to play them together and I bet he’s licking his lips.

Take, Liverpool. You probably double up on Salah, man-mark Mane, and probably leave a bit of freedom for Firmino.

You would not be able to do that with our front three.
It’s the best in the league by quite a margin. Plus, add Lo Celso and Ndombele behind them and you have even more problems. That’s without the threat of our fullbacks.

We have so much firepower in attack now, it’s literally silly. It almost feels unfair! Hehe.

I’ve not even mentioned Vinicius, Moura, Bergwijn, Lamela etc who all have goals in them too.

I'm thinking 'Don't get overexicted' ...but it is hard not to.

Teams will not be able to just sit back. We have game changers.
If they attack our perceived weaknesses we can pick them off.
This season will be interesting if nothing else.

This is the thing with so many attacking options and players who can score from outside the box it will leave teams in a predicament. For a few years teams have just sat in and watched us pass it round. It will be hard to make those tactics work now

I’m not going to say they’re ‘underestimating’ it, as they may be right, but the many Arsenal and Liverpool fans I know have been largely dismissive of his return. They’re either of the opinion that he’ll miss more games than he plays due to injury or that he’s nothing like the player he was.

Personally I think if we can get Bale, Kane and Son in the team for a run of games then we’ll score shedloads and challenge on all fronts - even if Bale is the least productive of the trio given how shit hot Son and Kane are looking right now.

If it clicks it's potentially as good as anything in the league or Europe for that matter, but that's "IF it Clicks" because whilst we know what Kane & Son bring, we still don't know whether the Bale we're getting is anything like the Bale that left. If it is it will be an awesome sight.

Teams will have to defend 30+ yards from their goal as all three of our forwards are proven to be able to twat them in from anywhere around the box. But then all we have to do is shift the ball quickly back to Ndombele or Højbjerg who can both pull out good balls for runners into the space behind that defence. It's going to be delicious.

When they all play together it’ll be like Ossie’s fantastic 5 in the 90’s, but in a team where we’re actually organised and a lot more defensively sound. There weren’t many front lines better than Klinsmann, Sheringham, Barmby, Dimitrescu and Anderton. We were just absolute pants as a team. Now we’ve got possibly the best attack in the league with a hardworking midfield and defence behind them, with one of the best tactical coaches in the world.

I can’t help but feel excited. The way the results went over the weekend makes me believe we can finish at least 3rd. Defenders just won’t know who to mark when they’re playing us. There could well be a handful of games this season where we hit teams for 5 or 6. I’ll settle for 1-0 every week though!

With these three there are so many possibilities. Not only can Bale and Son go left or right but Harry can drop deeper very effectively to let the other two play closer. Of course Bale can also play left back if need be:sneaky:
