You're right , but I kinda get it, it's the media.
What I just don't get is Spurs fans on here twerking for Arsenal, it's fucking odd.

I agree. The other week I suggested they set up a "sucking off arsenal" thread. I'm thinking it is a good idea.

Why a spurs fan would want to give the pricks any praise I don't know. They're a bunch of pricks.

People saying that they’ve had a brilliant transfer window…..

Why?

They’ve signed just two first team players, a backup keeper and a Portuguese kid who has no more experience or PL readiness than Bryan Gil.

Bearing in mind that one of their key problems last season was a woeful lack of depth and that they have lost two senior strikers and an experienced goalkeeper since last season, they have only scratched the surface of what they really needed to do. Granted, Jesus is a good signing for them. And Zinchenko will be useful because of his versatility. But they remain only an injury or two away from being hugely compromised.

Of course, they are also stronger in one other respect - Saliba. But that has nothing to do with this transfer window.

At the tail end of the season they have a run of fixtures

Liverpool (away)
West Ham (away)
Man City (away)
Chelsea (home)
Newcastle (away)
Brighton (home)

with a gimme against Southampton tucked away in there, I can see Arsenal dropping points in all of those and that kind of end of season collapse gathers momentum. I’d rather a balanced fixture list myself.

I watched the last two games and they look back to late Wenger levels.

They will steam roller a lot of teams.

What I don't get is though they have a left back playing as a midfielder and neither of the last two teams thought to play with any width to stop him doing it.

Odd tactical choices.
Yeah, palace exploited it well but sadly it was stew

yeah, palace exploited it but sadly it was ayew there. I’m sure we’ll target it with Kulu etc.

They are playing well and have very fast intricate players but they can be got at, Leicester and palace caused them problems.

as we’ve said, let’s wait until they play a big side before we swoon.

They'll probably suffer a recurrence of Covid at about that time. It's what they do when they face difficult fixtures....

Arteta is trying so hard to be pep.
Let’s not forget we won 3/3 with Nuno last season, Arsenals fixture list is ridiculous though some really walkovers early on ( Leicester , Bournemouth , villa, Everton even man utd in there current state)

Arsenal were "rampant" against Bournemouth according to the Beeb.

when did “twerking for _____” become a description? And am I the only one that finds it f*cking weird?
Ironically, given the content of the post, it came from the Arsenal forum.

Twerking for Arsenal as a Spurs fan is fucking weird mate, you're not the only one.

There's always two sides to these things. That's certainly one way of looking at it, but on he other hand this means they're bound to have a pile up of tough fixtures at some point, so they could easily go on a bad run that ruins their confidence
Them having all of the easy fixtures before they start a europa league campaign isn't a great thing imo. I would rather have some easy fixtures mixed in with having to travel around Europe midweek. It sets them up for a meltdown on twitter/AFTV when they do finally collapse though.

LOL, I can envisage them getting nil points out of that lot, with the possible exception of the hapless Wet Spam.

Giving praise and credit when it's due isn't twerking for another club. This tribal mentality is ridiculous. I get the hatred but sometimes there are over the top comments about the other club (as we see in the what opposition fans are talking about thread when it comes to us).

I think they'll fall off when the schedule gets tight and tougher opposition comes along. Fulham won't be easy next weekend like Bournemouth.

But for now you can only beat what's in front of you and they've done that. Jesus looks sharp already. Saliba seems a good player. I saw Zinchenko encouraging his teammates which I think they desperately needed to have someone actually talk to the players on the pitch mid game.

Tend to agree, rivalry aside they are looking much improved at the moment and have hot the ground running.

i can’t argue with my Arsenal supporting mates about that, although their challenge is going to be tougher opponents to really see their level and going deep into the season, is there enough squad depth.

expecting them up there though.

It's football and it's tribal, I feel sick when so many on here are considering them the new man City after three games.

Maybe it's the right thing to do but i don't pretend to be better than this, I don't like it, hate them and won't do more than admit that they are decent.
