People keep banging on the ‘we’ve only beaten the bottom teams’ drum and it’s getting tiring. Have some forgot we’ve played utd, Arsenal and Liverpool and come away with 7 points. Do we only earn validation when we play Villa, Newcastle and City?
I wouldn't mind but two of the sets of fans that most accuse us of not having 'played anyone decent yet' are Arsenal and Liverpool.

Just watching the full match on Spursplay I was at the game but seeing the first half again from a different perspective some of the play was amongst the best we have produced this season, every player played their part in that first half with some great moves.
Now on to watch the second half where we definitely dropped off with many slack passes which I think has clouded the memory of how good we were in the first half.

Talking about beating the bottom teams. In Ronaldo’s last season at Man Utd , 24 games v the bottom 12, they won 23 and drew one…..70 pts. In 14 games v the other 7 they only got 21 pts. Just 1.5 pts per game.
won the league with 91pts. You don’t have to beat the top teams. I think the main thing is not to lose to them.
we were good enough to beat Fulham, not great but good enough.
I think when you have played 10 games it is a fair reflection on where you are . Looking forward to our 10th game on Friday.
anybody watch Monday night football on Sky. How impressive was Gary O’Neill. Destined for the top I would think.

Ange said right from the very beginning that it takes time and there will be moments where it doesn’t click. That’s how the 2nd half felt to me, it was us trying a few too many things and being really sloppy with it. But it’s not a bad problem to have that we are top and it feels like there is still so much more to come from us. Bury a few more chances in that first half and 2nd half would have been a festival.

Their player Bassey was one of the worst PL defenders I’ve seen play against us for a long time. Very poor.

From an opposition point of view I don't think many can believe how well we've started and are afraid to say it so they need to find something they can use against us.

In this case they are scraping the barrel with bottom teams excuse.
And add we had only played 3 home games till last night

Surprised is an understatement

He could probably have committed GBH tonight and wouldn’t have got a card

Must have committed 8 fouls tonight 3 probably worthy of a yellow on another day - gets away with murder

Maybe the Refs are told to keep him on the pitch as long as possible because without him it would be a walkover and Fulham would be up the river without a paddle
How did we get the only 2 yellows ?
He should have a couple himself

It'll be a "I told you so" if we don't win or get results from those games. It'll be "they got lucky vs them" if we do win.

Its the way it works. Just enjoy the ride and drink their salty tears.

I'm happy they are all still writing us off. Less pressure on us and even sweeter when the run continues and people start to look stupid writing us off. COYS

He speaks really well but it was what I would expect with a Premier League manager to be honest. It was a good insight into how a manager works at this level though. I really liked the way he applied the yellow bibs on the training ground to highlight the positions he was focused on. Its a lot different to watching the Wrexham documentary where their manager just swears all the time

‘People’ tend to be opposition fans and they are generally quite bitter at how well we’re doing. Now we’ve had positive results against 3 top teams, I’ve heard some change from ‘not played anyone decent’ to ‘not played anyone in form’. It’s hilarious.

In terms of pundits, I feel they’re much more appreciative. Ok we’ve played 4 weak teams but given where most experts expected us to be this season, our record is astonishing regardless of who we’ve beaten.

I think a good counter to any comments about us not having played anyone decent yet (besides the obvious one that we’ve played 3 of last season’s top 5!) is that we should probably be having a similar start to Chelsea as they’ve had similar fixtures and also have a new manager. We’ve taken 11 more points than Chelsea so far. By any metric or benchmark others want to use, 23 points from a possible 27 - having played more away games than at home - is a ridiculously good start.

I don't want to be pedantic but I'm going to be anyway, it was VdV with the interception on the 1st goal.
Milesy on the Spurs TV post match programme made exactly the same mistake! Must just have assumed VDV wouldn't be so high up the pitch. My recommendation to him is to just watch the game properly! Pierre and VDV have completely different heights, builds, haircuts, facial hair, tattoo counts and shirt numbers but other than that, easy mistake to make...

The poor "Bass"tard is left footed and they chose him to play RCB with Diop injured. Maybe they should have moved Ream right and let him play on his stronger side. Silva had a big decision to make and he lucked out.

I think Big Ange made the same mistake in the press conference, he should watch the game properly too. :ROFLMAO:

In his defence he was called in at short notice, played out of position on the right as a left footer.
I don't know if that excuses him but fair to say it may be some mitigation.
