Via coys. Not sure if he'd want his info in the read only would he?

From Paul of SO

"Ok, don't shoot the messenger.

Berahinho is almost certainly at the "done deal" stage. yesterday spurs apparently got all anxious on WBA and wanted the deal done so he could be announced today and available for tomorrow. That scares me and smacks of an issue with Harry, BUT my info is at WBA not spurs so that is purely speculative.

However Fazio stayed in Birmingham last night add held talks with WBA, medical this morning assuming talks went well. Could well see it announced today. WBA want the deals done separate as they want fans to know they got a big price for Saido.

If it doesn't happen today. Then Tuesday should be the day."

Can't see this going through in time for tomorrow's game but would be good if it's done by Tuesday at the latest.

Kane's "one of our own" so perhaps he's been doing us all a favour by screaming a bit louder on the physio's table to get old baldy a bit more motivated. ;)
Exactly!! :)

OR, he's seriously injured, never gonna play again and were totally screwed...

Glass not even half empty, it's smashed on the floor..

Seriously though, I'm hoping this is sorted by midday, I reckon we need him sooner rather than later either way.
Are their any actual reports substantiating Kane being injured genuinely? I doubt we'd let them go public while negotiating for a forward, even if there were.

He's our number one target though supposedly. Fazio for £5m is a bargain for them. If we can't use that as leverage to get the Berahinho deal over the line then serious questions need to be asked about what the hell we're doing.

Have any ITK's said it is 5m or is that just brought into the thread from papers?

Another significant loss on a player we probably never should've bought - I can't be bothered to go and check but I wonder how much we've lost on those summer '13 and '14 players in total? Got to be pushing £20m+ at least.

Perhaps Poch will have taught Levy a valuable lesson in not buying random sub-standard guys for the sake of buying them by making it clear he didnt/doesn't want these players and that if Levy does it again in future he'll be wasting his money? Probably no better way to get through to Levy than that.

The only issue with Kane is that he's not 100%, Pochettino said as much last weekend. I think it's clear he wants to rest Kane at this time of the season because of his long season followed by the Euro U21s. Maybe it's not that Kane is injured but the fear he will get injured if we're not careful.

Yeah he's clearly not fit and if there's any way we can avoid playing him tomorrow then we should. I just hope Paul Smith's info doesn't concern a bigger worry about Harry's fitness, but I think it's just due to his lack of rest during pre-season.

Very much doubt it would be done today as doesnt appear to be any news in media of a deal being agreed.

However, be great if done by tuesday as i will be at the everton game :joyful:

If Fazio and Berahino are linked as suggested, but are being reported seperately for WBA PR, then surely they wouldn't want us to announce them on the same day?

I suspect Fazio will get announced today and Berahino early next week.

Every signing is going to be a gamble, but yes, the last couple of summer windows have not been very successful. Dier, Chadli and Eriksen are the only 3 that have managed to come out particularly well. Last summer was bizarre. Fazio and Stambouli both come in and go within a year. I thought they were Poch choices, or at least Poch approved, but it's clear that they were just bought for the sake of it because we couldn't get our actual targets.

I'm okay with Fazio going. I don't think he was entirely terrible as he had some decent games with Verts, but there were definitely other games where he was a little out of his depth.

Yes. Levy's certainly had his fingers burned pretty badly over recent deals. Its strange, because in some ways he's so cautious and penny pinching but some deals have been pretty reckless and poor value. Not enough people who know what they're doing at the top, maybe...
