Via coys. Not sure if he'd want his info in the read only would he?

From Paul of SO

"Ok, don't shoot the messenger.

Berahinho is almost certainly at the "done deal" stage. yesterday spurs apparently got all anxious on WBA and wanted the deal done so he could be announced today and available for tomorrow. That scares me and smacks of an issue with Harry, BUT my info is at WBA not spurs so that is purely speculative.

However Fazio stayed in Birmingham last night add held talks with WBA, medical this morning assuming talks went well. Could well see it announced today. WBA want the deals done separate as they want fans to know they got a big price for Saido.

If it doesn't happen today. Then Tuesday should be the day."

Is that Paul Smith? Great news anyway, here's hoping for movement on SB today certainly seems its gathering pace.

From that bit from paul on SO I'm assuming it sounds like we must have agreed a fee if they are faffing about with it being announced

Im sure that Fazio to West Brom will speed up Berahinho to us. I just cannot see it not being finalised

All ITKs have said the same thing. It even brought Paul Smith out of the woodwork so im sure

If we allow West Brom to buy Fazio at a knock down price without being able to finalise the Berahinho deal then I will lose what little faith I have in our transfer strategy.

Not sure what his worry is with Kane, he's trained all week, maybe it's just that one knock to him, and we're fucked.
Still, fingers crossed for an announcement today.

They must be a tough bunch over at SO if he thinks they'd shoot him for implying that Kane might have a slight knock (I hope it is that and not some sinister goings on with Man U ... nah, can't be that:nailbiting:), which we could all guess anyway after he had ice on his calf last week.

That all sounds pretty good news on the Berahino front. :)

Well, if anything, at least it sounds like the clubs are talking.

Thanks for the info.

I'd think it's this. Everyone knows how weak we are.

It must be close, the propaganda over the fee and how to break the announcement would suggest it's been agreed in principle for a long time. They have said he's not for sale, rejected a bid, kept playing him etc etc.. and now have to perform a u-turn without sparking riots.

Even if Fazio is not included directly, it would still be a player Spurs don't want plus cash for a player they do want with the same team.

Yeah, I think you are on to something.
The sooner more FW come in, the sooner we can start to manage the use of Kane so he can last the season.

Unless we take their money for Fazio then sign a different striker and leave them lumbered?

Hang on so he says if it doesn't happen today then it will be Tuesday, what the fuck happened to Monday?
I want him now!

The Fazio deal can only help with our relations with West Brom. We seem to be on good terms with them over the deal, no toys have been thrown out of the pram from Saido which is great too. All is going along smoothly so it will most likely happen now. I am very confident but there's always that little bit of doubt that it will fall through so I'm trying not to get too excited. I doubt we'll have him in time for tomorrow but maybe in time to stop him playing on Sunday for West Brom.

He's our number one target though supposedly. Fazio for £5m is a bargain for them. If we can't use that as leverage to get the Berahinho deal over the line then serious questions need to be asked about what the hell we're doing.

Here is today's ITK Discussion thread.

The difference between yesterday's thread and todays is that I am around today. So last nights Levy/Leeds bollocks won't be happening again today :)

Yeay!!! Wrangled Minges for all! :cautious:

I'm liking that the Fazio deal can be used as leverage to get Bera over the line.

Kane's "one of our own" so perhaps he's been doing us all a favour by screaming a bit louder on the physio's table to get old baldy a bit more motivated. ;)

I'd hope the supposed urgency with Berahino may have more to do with N'Jie's work permit application.

Not that I see us completing it by lunchtime today in a million years.

Cheers.

Not sure why lots are ignoring the good news on Berahino and focusing on a hypothetical injury for Kane instead. You can't live in fear.

Poor old Faz - from Europa League winner to West Brom in just over 12 months space. The Levy sceptics surely must have been silence by his willingness to clear the decks at bargain prices.

I'm sure that this must be the start of the closure of the SB deal. I don't see why we'd allow a player to leave for almost half the price we paid, to a club that wouldn't deal with us for a player we want. It's all a merry dance, so visible to us because we've seen it so many times with our best - "we're not selling *nudge*nudge*wink*wink".

Hopefully if we can get this section of ITK boxed off today then it will make SC a slightly less hormonal place to be until January at the least!

To be honest, Fazio for £5m makes SB an almost definite done deal for me. No way would we sell him for that otherwise. :)

It was done last night, will be announced today lunchtime and everyone will have forgotten and moved on to moaning that we haven't got a DM by 2pm. *Crystal Ball*
