Yep, Crouch has been saved for this game.

Plus he did okay in the last game he played alone up front.

Bellamy failed to exploit him. Kaboul looked very suspect against arsenal, Chelsea and Wigan

WTF

bellamy failed to exploit him?so kaboul doesn't get credit.

so i suppose if bellamy had roasted him, it wouldn't have been kaboul's fault,it would have been bellamy's exploitation of him.

what a thought out post...what some would write on here just to be right!

kaboul played well at city and created our winner.

Well Bellamy got him booked early and then failed to really run at him, it wasn't one of Bellamys better games, I didn't feel like Kaboul was put under any considerable pressure by Bellamy. It's not as if the guy was tackling him left right and centre.

He had a decent game, 3 of his other performances at rb have been questionable, so no, I don't credit him as being a good corluka alternative

the game b4 the city game was bolton home, kaboul was outstanding at rb, thats what made harry play him at city.
i think the lad can play at rb.

I've never seen Gallas play right back, he played left back for Chelsea at times but hated it so much that he threatened to score own goals unless he was moved back to centre back.

Why play Gallas at right back?

Ok Corluka's been off form but Gallas is clearly lacking in complete sharpness. Would rather put Kaboul there if not Corluka.

Gallas against Marin? No thanks.

Maybe so, but I think he is a fairly ok backup in emergency situations like last year and that's it. Bolton didn't really pose a threat to anyone in that game.

I'd rather play walker! At least the lad is an actual right back and plays there to a good standard with the England u21s. But it will be Corluka and I'll be happy with that

Alright calm down. Him not being an actual RB is the reason why I asked ffs. And even if he did it's still questionable. This a forum, no need to call someone a mong for disagreeing with you.

Before Corluka's injury would you have put kaboul as a right back?

Anyone at right back than Charlie. Why not give Hutton a chance to prove himself...he does have champs league experience.

Anyone but palacios. I don't like jenas but at least he offers something (not quite sure what but he does pop up with the odd goal!)

What Brett.spurs said. Also, Gallas' lack of match fitness and sharpness is more likely to be exposed at a fullback position than at CB, where his positional sense that his experience gives him can help make up for any pace he may be lacking.

Kaboul is pretty fast for a big lad too.

Stopping Marin is the main priority. Therefore who plays at right back is key.

Given his pace, Walker might be worth a shout at RD. So much fatigue and injury in the squad is making selection more like a lotto... :eek:mg:
