The teams don't need to be announced until an hour before the game. So even if this is correct, it could still change.

But it does look like it will be that team.

I'm wondering how they can call our side, with one striker and five midfielders, a 442

If that info is correct, I'm gutted for the lack of Kaboul. The boy has been superb in both his centre back appearances this season and is more worthy of a place in central defence than Gallas right now. Gallas may be superior once he becomes fit, but right now he isn't, and Kaboul looks fast, strong, clever and able to bring the ball out of defence.

Anyway, if this Norwegian paper is correct, I reckon it will look like this, and not 442:

Cudicini
Corluka Gallas King Ekotto
Palacios Huddlestone
Lennon .... VDVaart .... Bale
Crouch

or at the very least

Cudicini
Corluka Gallas King Ekotto
Lennon Palacios Huddlestone Bale
VDVaart
Crouch

Shame about the lack of Luka :-(

How are those Bremen players likely to line up? I don't know enough about them. I imagine this:
Wiese
Fritz Prodl Pasanen Silvestre
Bargfrede Frings
Marin Wesley Hunt
Arnautovic

I dont want to see Kaboul anywhere near that centreback position!!!! Right back cover for when charlie's injured

Given the wink, I assume you're joking.

But nonetheless, Kaboul hasn't been given enough praise on SC imo. On last season's performances I was happy with him at RB, but didn't think he'd shown enough positional acumen to play as a CB - yet. That led him to diving into tackles and giving away dangerous FKs.

His two performances at CB this season have been top drawer though. He's clearly worked on that side of his game and is looking like he has real potential there. He was already strong, athletic and had great technique - if he's truly found that final piece of the jigsaw, position, then alongside Daws and Seb we have a trio of fantastic young CBs on our hands. Younes, I salute you.
