Diamond worked well today, intensity was great, aurier was brilliant and it helped having a proper RB as well as a settled squad now the window has closed, much more like ourselves. Onwards and upwards from here.

Happy with that then? Starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel?

Was it a diamond formation today?
It looked more like a flat cm 2 with Sissoko and Winks than we have seen the last few matches.

Lots of positives today.

We actually looked solid at the back, good to see our classy CB spraying the ball wherever they wanted too which really helps when teams sit back, bypass the midfield and get the defenders running back towards their own goal, no defender likes that, especially with Son's pace and knowing how deadly Kane can be.

Serge has to get a run as first choice and i think Poch notices that he needs to publicly praise him and play to his ego. Serge with confidence could be a very good RB for us. He's far more defensively astute and mature compared to KWP in his positioning and in the air.

Would have loved to see what Lo Celso could have done in this game compared to Eriksen. The great thing is now we have Dele, Moura and Lo Celso to fight Lamela and Eriksen for starting berths, Poch wouldn't drop Kane and Son and on form why would he. That is huge depth.

I'm intrigued with our the CM area we work itself out with Winks, Ndomb, Sissoko, Dier and potentially Lo Celso if we play him that deep. This is the one area where we still haven't massively found out our best pairing, but that's a lot of good options to choose from and i'm not even including Wanyama and Skipp.

Like others have said, great to see tempo and pressing from the first whistle.

I also will carry on beating the Zaha drum, would love what he would bring to our attacking options. He is so dangerous and i think that was shown from how many times we just took him out.

Clean sheet was welcome too. Trying not to think about the fact that our whole back four today are looking to leave. ?

Are they? Toby might be, but seems to me it was us looking to ship on Aurier and Rose. Aurier is the best right back at the club, give him a run in the team

I know that there were some issues about the contract that we had offered Toby a couple of Seasons ago but has Toby ever stated that he wanted to leave the club ? Nothing against your comment but I’m really curious about whether Toby really wants to leave the club.

We've 2 difficult games coming up & we need to take the level of pace & power we showed in the 1st half into both & will show whether we've turned a corner.

Equally, almost certainly Poch is going to have to make changes & it will be interesting to see whether the replacements come in & show the same intensity.

I just want to get something off my chest about the atmosphere in the south stand yesterday and at previous home games. There’s a group of season ticket holders in the row in front of me who act like they don’t want to be there. I’d say it’s a group of 5/6 people. They spend pretty much the whole time on their phones (they’re in their 40s I’d say), don’t sing, don’t get involved and don’t reallt celebrate the goals with much passion.

I just find it utterly weird and they are stealing the seats from people who actually want to be there. It’s very annoying.

Can't underestimate the importance of a good win after all the seemingly negative flak associated with Spurs of late.

Hopefully there'll be a bit of a positive buzz around the place and the media can find their next plaything to write nonsense stories from anonymous sources about.

I just (stupidly) caught 5 minutes of Sunday supplement and they haven’t moved on. Jason Burt was trying to manufacture some kind of problem with Poch behind the scenes. Even Ashton didn’t seem to want to stir the pot. So some journos will still try and create something out of nothing.

Just a little aside made me chuckle yesterday. all around on the electronic advert boards they were showing all the worldwide Spurs fans bases and at one point it went, Spurs Dallas, Spurs Delhi and Spurs Daventry! All I could think was who in Daventry supports Spurs? :)

No offence taken - I agree. I said ‘might’ because we don’t really know, but certainly with Aurier and Rose it seemed to be more us than them

Good energy yesterday. Lots of our players buzzing around, with good flow. Palace did give us the space mind you and we used it well. Very few sideways and back passing especially in the first half. Ndombele showed a few great touches and Im looking for him to get the ball and bring it forward although Sissoko has been doing that for the longest time. Winks had a nice game,Lamela and Aurier too. We looked more solid with Aurier and the two CBs looked like their old selves.
When Lo Celso adds to the mid and Sessegnon finally plays we should be fine.

Caught up with motd highlights. Amazing the difference a proper fullback makes, eh? Also Poche bang on about a settled squad. Players look like they want to be there again.

The energy, intensity and pressing yesterday was like night and day compared to the first four games - this was the return of the Spurs we all know and love from the last few seasons.

Gales just pointing out the inconsistency of booking Winks for a tactical foul and not Kane you bunch of victims.

But did he need to keep going on and on, suggesting if Kane had been booked it would have stopped the other fouls? He was annoying and incorrect.

Everyone that says “Son is the most underrated player in the premier league”. Who? Who are these people that Underrate him? Show me a tweet or a post that says So. Is band average.

Heard a muppet Spurs fan on Talksport within the last 12 months saying he is cr*p.
