He was good back then but Soldado and Janssen were good back somewhere sometime also. Being good back then isn't good enough for us, undeniably we have dodged one though we didn't the others.

Not really how it works though is it. No one could forsee the decline in Benteke in those 4 years to the level he's on now, he's a million miles away from the player that he used to be, anyway it's academic now.

Caught up with motd highlights. Amazing the difference a proper fullback makes, eh? Also Poche bang on about a settled squad. Players look like they want to be there again.

Footballers rarely need an excuse to not give 100% so he's probably right

To each their own mate. You might not like it, but that's the way it is. They have every right like anyone else to be there. At least they are adhering to the rules by sitting unlike quite a few others, (including you probably)
'Everybody needs to stop what they're doing and be more like me'.

Stealing seats, right! I am sure that their money is just as good as yours, and who knows, they may be more entitled to be there than you. If it annoys you that much, why not give up your seats and move?

Cant move season ticket seat this season

Is it you then? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

That's right, but you can now look at whats happened and be glad we don't have the issues of a misfiring Benteke. Or do you still wish we had bought him and have him on big wages?

I know I’m coming if as a sanctimonious prick (what’s new, eh?) and I know supporting a football club means different things to different people, but why on earth would W time spend a small fortunes on attending a match only to take in 90% of it. Would people also do that with the theatre, cinema, etc? No two matches are the same, each is a unique experience, so to regularly miss large portions of matches you’ve attended is just plain banal. It’s not like rewatching an episode of the Simpsons!

Agree with you. I make sure I'm in my seat by the time kickoff starts, but I can understand why some people are late back to their seats. Firstly there's always a queue to get down into the concourse in the lower eastside section as the security staff insist on checking everyone's wristbands on the way in at half time. Consequently, it usually takes a good few minutes to even reach the bars/toilets.

As I said in the previous post, perhaps the club ought to do what theatres do and ring a bell or something indicating the 2nd half is due to kickoff. That would get the majority of people to shift their arses I reckon. Some people in the executive concourses aren't even aware the football has re-started. Ultimately it's their responsibility to keep track of time, though a gentle reminder would help IMO.

Can someone tell me: are we pumping ‘clapping and chanting’ through the sound system?
Few palace lads were trying desperately to have something to dig us out about...

Happy with that then? Starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel?
Much better mate yep. Now the key is to keep that level of intensity and performance up. Playing Aurier made a big difference, should’ve played him against arsenal, instead of a CB at RB! Unless something going on with aurier that we don’t know about?

He said that he wanted to leave and Poch mentioned that some players weren't focused and distracted, guess he was one of them.

Atmosphere at matches is nearly always dictated by what's going on on the field of play .
We were 4/0 up and coasting and the atmosphere was flat and as was and will always be the same the crowd took their foot off the pedal as did the players . At every ground and game atmosphere is created by the situation in the game and sometimes by who you are playing for us top six sides and other London clubs or by being behind in a game . This as always been the case in the past and still is when needed. the crowd has always stepped up and will in the future . By the way this conversation goes on at all clubs especially top six clubs . Even Anfield/Old Trafford/Stamford Bridge / emirates / Even the Etihad but then they have atmosphere problems at all games .
It is what helps to make games memorable because a fair amount of games here and all clubs are quite flat . The special games with the special atmosphere are the ones that stay in your memory
