He’ll get minimal credit for it on here of course, but Conte bringing on Bissouma and switching to 3 in midfield flipped the game on its head.
Something we've been crying out for in our criticism of him. Perhaps something to be said about not getting shot down with "Well Conte.." remarks

People will be clamouring for this now but it's important to remember that at that moment Leicester were pushing right on to us and gaps were there.

We plugged the middle and it allowed us to take advantage more of those gaps and not worry about being played through.

I don't think we should necessarily switch to it as more games will be cagey and other opposition will be more reserved than this one.

But there's certainly food for thought.

The other issue is we only have 4cms. So quite difficult if we have a couple of injuries.

Strange game. Awful until the Bissouma sub and then obviously Son

we looked so much more fluid when we went to two up top

Both Kane and son seemed to enjoy it and we looked more solid overall

would Conte stick with that?

Odd feeling slightly disappointed after a 6-2 win...

Edit: LOL! You can neg rep all you like. It's just what I feel. I think we played really poor, again, for a majority of the game. I'm obviously happy that we won, but we really need to improve.

Looks like a few people on this match thread are pleased with the win but also inwardly fuming as the outcome doesn't suit their narrative.

We weren't unbeatable, or on top form in that game and the first half was well shaky. But credit to the lads and Conte for the 2nd half turnaround in tactics, effort and sheer running. 2nd in the table and unbeaten #COYS

What a strange game.. over the course of 90 minutes 6-2 could perhaps seem flattering, given their chances, but at the same time Leicester absolutely deserved a pasting as well. We did take full control with 3 midfielders which is definitely going to give Conte something to think about.

Amazing from Son

Bentancur was brilliant as well.

Great response after the CL defeat ?
When Bissouma was coming in, Bentancur had so much freedom to roam forward. Unbelievable he has that capability when Hojbjerg always seems to be going forward more. So great to see them transiting to attack that smoothly.

So when we were top on goal difference a while back and Liverpool second but were apparently ‘joint top’, but now we are second on goal difference they say (correctly) we are second. A minor thing to stick in my craw but I am a petty, petty man
