Imagine ole passing at the end after we couldn't pass for toffee first half.

Great win and keeps the GD up. Well happy for Sonny. Never doubted him. But that's why we now have the options. We can bring him on if needed.

Wish it wasn't international break now.
Different game when you aren't outnumbered in the middle

People will be clamouring for this now but it's important to remember that at that moment Leicester were pushing right on to us and gaps were there.

We plugged the middle and it allowed us to take advantage more of those gaps and not worry about being played through.

I don't think we should necessarily switch to it as more games will be cagey and other opposition will be more reserved than this one.

But there's certainly food for thought.

The other issue is we only have 4cms. So quite difficult if we have a couple of injuries.

Yup, shows how crucial signing a solid attacking midfielder in January is IMO.

I’ll be very surprised if we don’t go all in for Maddison.

Between now and then I wouldn’t be surprised to see Deki used as a CAM on occasion.

Hmm well why didn't we buy one? This seems circular: we're to understand that Conte doesn't play with a technical, less physical player in midfield; but here here's saying that he needs such a player to play 352.

Given how we constantly get outnumbered/dominated in midfield, I'd love to see another player in there.
Interestingly we actually switched to it today for first time under conte I believe, Bissouma in the middle of the 3 which makes sense as he is best with the ball.

He’ll get minimal credit for it on here of course, but Conte bringing on Bissouma and switching to 3 in midfield flipped the game on its head.
Thing is mate and no one seems to acknowledge it but he may well have wanted to do this sooner but we havent really had the players to do so. Skipps been out and we've been one injury away from not having a CM on the bench for the next game.

I’ll be shocked if Brendan gets sacked. I know it’s a results game, but going forward they looked very dangerous and it was on a knife edge until we changed it up. There defence is what really let’s them down and Rodgers has to work within a budget. I don’t think they will go down.

Go 352 with kulu and Richie wingback... unstoppable.... only joking. Result flattered us but take it and nice to have son back. We do need to sort out not having the ball hopefully conte sees that

Looks like a few people on this match thread are pleased with the win but also inwardly fuming as the outcome doesn't suit their narrative.

We weren't unbeatable, or on top form in that game and the first half was well shaky. But credit to the lads and Conte for the 2nd half turnaround in tactics, effort and sheer running. 2nd in the table and unbeaten #COYS

There is no narrative. It was not a good performance and followed the last few games. Credit to Conte for changing it up but the proof is in the pudding if he has seen the light in terms of formation.

I think Sonny coming back is absolutely crucial to us but so is a good Bissouma and more control in midfield. PEH looked a diff player with more support and not running around chasing shadows. We actually passed the ball with three in the middle.

I don't think 3-5-2 is necessarily a long-term solution here. It worked well when he used it after 60m at home against the league's worst side. That doesn't mean you start using it as the default.

It's definitely a useful option to have though.

Weird game, I thought Leicester looked better for at least 60 mins!

some statement to play that way, and score 6, remain unbeaten and sat 2nd in the league….

like I’ve said a few times, any other team, we’d be saying that it’s a mark of our strength to play poorly and win.

Strange game. Everyone seems a bit off. Lots of poor touches.

But we still win this. Leicester are so open.

Great result in the end. Lovely to see Son back in the goals. The team’s celebrations with him we’re heartwarming. Shout-out to Bentancur who I thought was absolutely excellent.

Sonny in a nutshell. That was classic him in a short concentrated form.

Honestly with the type of chances we create and how bad their defence is I actually thought 5 goals could and would be par for us today ?

Crazy to think that but it’s true
