Yet another insipid display from the usual suspects. Dele, Son, Moura, Dier, Sissoko, Aurier, and yes... Kane too.

All of them lack drive, focus and tenacity. It's impossible to get anything out of a game when you have a set of players that make tons of mistakes (Aurier. Dier), are weak on the ball (Dele, Aurier, Son), lack discipline and focus (Sissoko, Aurier, Son). Act childish and petulantly and lack leadership (Kane and many of the others).

Jose must know by now that this lot should not be played together. It's criminal for him not to kick the tires on Ndombele, Lo Celso, Skippy, Foyth, Parrot, Sess Winks, and consider bringing Eriksen back into the fray. Also it's time to consider Jan options that can immediately improve the team in two key areas; DM and RB.

Lastly, i sincerely hope this isn't the best Jose has to offer. As all I've seen so far is predictable, prosaic and rigid. I can't see how it's difficult for an opposing manager to counter his tactics as they are the same every week. That must be very easy to prepare for. Nothing unpredictable or innovative so far from Jose. I do truly hope this isn't reflective of his new way of playing. As it's old and illsuited to the cretins he has to work with.

"I think the penalty should have been a red card, he has flown at him. I don’t think he means to do it so I can understand why it is not, it is probably fair."

Lampard never struck me as the brightest.
A walking contradiction

Bloke behind was trivialising the racist stuff. Gave them a lecture on how it isn’t Tottenham.

I’ve gone for someone before who I thought was being racist and I will do again. I’d hope others would do aswelll. I’m so pissed off.

It's still early days with Mourinho but with all of the history, it's clear the warning signs are there. The games against United, Wolves and now Chelsea all played out very similar. If we really needed to cut ties with Poch we (imo) should have continued the path with a positive, forward-thinking and innovative coach.
IMO we were in a fuckin tough spot because as good as Poch was the situation was deteriorating more daily, I dread to think where we’d be now. We’ve been poor in Jose’s biggest tests but we all know the squad isn’t good enough and he’s barely been there a month

Dier had 27 touches of the ball with a 78% success rate on passes. 27 touches..... fucking hell. Sissoko 56 with 90% success rate on passes.

Ndombele had in 16 mins 21 touches and 94 % successful pass rate.Eriksen had 54 and 73%.

All our defenders had 70+ touches and Gazzaniga had 33 touches.

Son, Moura and Kane all had less than 30 touches. Points to me that we have a major issue with our midfielders getting our forwards into the game.

Compared to Chelsea. Kante 71 with 88%, Kovacic with 50 and 80% and Mount 66% with 81%.

Central Midfield is a massive issue for us. Dier has been hauled off again early through his inability to make himself available for a pass or having any passing skills.

Sissoko puts himself on the right all the time and adds no calmness in the middle but gets people excited because he runs through occasionally where the ball ping pongs off in a direction near him.

Both of them hide to receive passes especially if it is to take pressure off the defenders. It's a fucking mess there - our defenders lump it up to the forwards who can't get onto it and bypass our midfield completely. Look at our average position

Dier is in the back 4 and Sissoko looks to be the 2nd furthest forward player....

Mate both of those were logical tactical decisions and had eff all to do with how he was playing. Again focus on what he can do not what he cant.

You've made up your mind about him and it isn't going to change so go with it. But for me, he isn't perfect but has been doing his job effectively. If you watch the wolves game and Burnley game again, and focus on what he does you will see. A good DM knows how to mark space and Dier does that more effectively than anyone else we have.
I disagree that today it was ‘eff all‘ to do with how he was playing but regardless even if it was tactical like it was against olympiakos the reason he was hooked twice is because he’s the least important player which says a lot.

I get that he does some things effectively like winning a few headers and tackles and blocking a few shots but that’s not enough to be a CDM in a premiership team who are looking to consistently finish top4 and go far in cup competitions.

you say focus on what he does well but sorry fuck me theres so so much he DOESNT do well.
He has 0 pace, he’s very slow at decision making, his passing is beyond awful, you cannot keep giving the ball back to a top team like Chelsea. He doesn’t receive the ball and turn and pass, haven’t rated him for a long time in CDM, Poch didn’t either and fuck knows why Jose does.

Agree it’s in our DNA but we were building towards something on and off the pitch but lack of investment last 4 windows is showing now, doesn’t matter what our club DNA is and who the manager is if he has a 2nd choice mid table goalie, Aurier RB, Dier & Sissoko in a double pivot that’s 4 key positions who are well well under par, against Burnley we can get away with it but not against top 6-8 teams or in the CL we get shown up for the quality of our squad which isn’t good enough.
Absolutely and it starts at the top at every club. Unless they strive and leave no stone unturned, they can hardly demand it from anyone underneath them.

This isn't a rant at DL etc but just the way it is. If he wants to change that he has to srsly back Jose in multiple windows. If not, his steady hand on the wheel will see continued advancement and we'll be good as we have been but unable to crest this almighty hill we face as a club.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Yes but play one or the other don’t play both. The options exist to do that.

Skipp May be young but he would 100% would have offered more energy and dynamism going forward than Dier today.

Skipp should definitely be getting more time on the pitch

He was always hiding from the ball, not surprised about his touches. Dembele helped him a lot with it, going deeper to receive a pass in a difficult position.

Look, I'm all for Skipp getting more game time but you're gonna be calling for him to be dropped when he doesn't play well.

Alot of our fans on social media who were in the area where the alleged racist incident happened are saying they heard nothing
And i don't mean one or two.

This is my fear also, club has been smeared but if no evidence emerges what then?

Hopefully some proof will turn up because racism is shit and must be stopped.

From now on I want to see lo Celso and Ndombele starting every game possible, and sessegnon better come in for son on the wing. There is no way that Jose can start all of Lucas, Dier, sissoko and dele (not including son since he'll be gone for 3 matches) again after that. If he does then he's as bad as poch with his team selection. Shit has to change and picking players who want to be here and are far superior than their peers is a start towards that.

Dier - should never play for spurs again - ever. We need a mobile DM ASAP.

Sissoko put a shift in but needs to be on right covering for the erratic Aurier.

Gazza and Son absolute brain fart moments - poor. Gazzas was inexcusable.

Need to see Sess, Le Celso and Ndombele more.

Merry Xmas everyone

If he plays badly week In and week out you are probably right but right now I would like to see Skipp and Ndombele against Brighton

It's early days under Jose. He himself has said he hasn't really had a chance to coach the players. I'll give him till next season. On a positive note N'Dombele looked wicked good.
