Hoffenheim want to sign Ryan Sessegnon on loan from Tottenham.
They are one of two German clubs interested in the left wing-back along with Hertha Berlin.

Brighton and Celtic had been among the British clubs looking into loaning the England youth international but are no longer believed to be in the running.

I always preferred that he went to Bundesliga if he wereto leave England. Ajax are a great club but their league is average at best. The Bundesliga will offer a great environment for him to learn and get some experience. It’s a physical but tactical league and he’ll also get the chance of Europa League football. I wish him the best and we’ll be keeping a good eye on him I’m sure.

Anyone know much about Hoffenheim and where he might get game time?

Hopefully he has a good season with them, and can get a good run of games

Fair play to Ryan to choose abroad over home comforts, illustrates he is maturing as a person. Was a time he didn't fancy leaving London, which is why we were favourites to land him in first place over Man utd etc.Great to see another starlet go out with point to prove like Skipp,Parrot hopefully Cirkin can snag a late loan.Do yourself proud Ryan the rest will take care of itself, hoping a more confident vibrant Ryan returns?

He may only be 20 still, but I think this is a key loan move for him. Getting regular game time in a top standard league is hugely important but he needs to decide or find where he is best played. Is he a winger or a left back?

Personally I feel that his best position is at left back, more so a wingback. He’s been too passive in games of late and lacks that urgency in a wing forward position. If he can focus on adding to his defensive and attacking game then he can really come back to us next season and compete at left wing back.

I like to see young players being brave and venturing abroad, it helps them on so many levels.
Looking forward to this and I hope he shines, as well as enjoying his time there.

Sounds like a god loan. They’ve generally been a solid club and sometimes more since getting into the Bundesliga, they’re in Europa this season and they tend to play good attacking football. If he played t matches for them for a season he’d come on significantly in my opinion.

Fingers crossed for him, I still think he could be great for Spurs, but consistent football and game time will help him.
