So what do we know about Hoffenheim, other than they play with wing backs and their manager is Uli Hoeneß’s nephew? We’ve got a hundred resident BuLi experts every time we have a new transfer link, where have they all gone?

There's a cracking player in there somewhere and I hope we get to see it when he returns. Would be a shame if he doesn't make it at Spurs given how long we pursued him for.

As long as he plays there this will be brilliant. Their first game after the break is Dortmund, probably too soon, but he could be lining up against Sancho and that's the kind of opposition you need to learn.

Riess Nelson got big minutes at Hoffenheim, so they do play their loanees unlike some clubs. Should be a great move

Hopefully he can build his confidence because that seems to be what's holding him back.

A certain David Alaba had a great loan out there. They certainly know how to treat talent. Hope he develops very well. Good luck!

Looking at Hoffenehim on Transfermatkt they have one left back, who is currently injured and they typically play a back 3 with wing backs.

Robert Skov was their first choice LWB / LB last season [and thus far this season], despite being listed as a right winger on transfermarkt.

He's similar in profile to Sess actually, versatile left footed player capable of playing either as a winger or fullback. We were formally linked with him when he was at FC Copenhagen, where he had a 24 goal season in the Superliga playing on the right wing. I'd imagine [and hoping] signing Sess may push Skov back to his favored position.
