I think he should be aiming higher than gaelic football but if it means we have him going to Celtic and Dele to PSG it can only be good signs towards Edouard surely?

Not convinced this would be a great move for him. This is a lower level than he's previously played at.

Celtic are playing wingbacks this season so I'm assuming that's where they plan to play him

You could argue his move to us wasn’t good for him. Stunted.

Celtic would be an ok move for him. He just needs to play football regularly.

Playing a season or two at Celtic didn't do much harm to Tierney, who now looks a very good PL LB.

Just doesn’t feel like the Celtic way, they have been using the model of buying young talent and then flicking them on and what would be a relatively expensive loan for Sess with no transfer pot of gold down the line just doesn’t seem to fit.

They are on for their record breaking 10th title in a row (big deal in Glasgow) and Rangers look much better this season. I suspect anything that helps them achieve that milestone (within responsible financial limits) would be considered.

Sky saying Celtic have made an approach.

CELTIC MAKE SESSEGNON APPROACH

Celtic
made an approach for Tottenham left-back Ryan Sessegnon, but Sky Sports News understands the finances of a potential deal have proved problematic.

A number of Premier League clubs are interested in the 20-year-old.

Celtic are looking to sign a left-back before the October 5 deadline, with an improved offer for Charlton's Alfie Doughty expected this week.

While I'd much rather he go to Brighton, I could live with Celtic if it were a part of a deal for Edouard.

If Sessegnon going there can grease the wheels for a top young striker then he'd better get used to fried food for every meal

Any game at a good level where he'll be playing each week is good for him. Needs to reestablish himself as a first team regular

Going to Celtic would be a massive step back for him. Outside of the two Glasgow teams the quality is abysmal, we are talking lower table championship/ upper table league one quality. I remember we sent Oduwa to Rangers and it was a complete waste of time.

He can do better, and we can find him better.

Read last night that Man City is interested in Tagliafico. Would be so interested in seeing Sessegnon go to Ajax for a season with a vacant spot at left-back.

In my opinion, players like Sessegnon ,Foyth, Tanganga, Clarke etc need to develop in the Prem League now rather than with teams outside or abroad. I am all for game time, but needs to be game time + adapting and being familiar to the league so that they're ready for IF or when they return to us.

Obviously, if there are no takers in the Prem for a loan, then a loan to Celtic, Villareal is better than no loan at all, but just important that we get them developing by game time somewhere instead of being unused squad players for us.
