Take away those who would not join and you’re already on a very small number, and of them, none had as good a season as he did, and/or are older and don’t have the same ceiling

Debatable, debatable, debatable, no, debatable, and too injury prone. No one is clearly better than Romero on that list. And I think that’s a pretty fair assessment.

Atalanta has a very particular defensive system, the 3 defenders always plays
“ a uomo” they follow the striker in every zone of the field. He’s too aggressive, I have doubt over his adaptation in traditional defensive system. That’s the reason why I’m concerned, obviously I hope to eat my word and I hope that he will be named even best PL defender

So great signing and not in anyway trying to spin a negative! But here I go spinning a negative!
is anyone worried or interested in where this cash has come from all of a sudden! Even Ally Gold was saying in his videos at the end of the season that we were skint!
I suppose I have slight concerns that this is another Bale situation and we will get some much needed quality in only to let Harry go!
I know ITKs have hinted that we have come into some money so fingers crossed it’s only that!

“And many others probably” lol. How many of them would fancy leaving the likes of PSG, City and Atletico Madrid for Spurs you reckon? This isn’t Fifa. It’s real life. Romero is excellent and out performed most of who listed their last season anyway.
How true not sure but I read we were willing to break the bank/spend out of budget for defenders.
Foyth money pretty much paid for Gil.
Toby, Rose, Lamela, Bale wages taken away which is a fair whack.
Gollini only a loan and same approx wages as Hart.
They know they have a fair bit of interest in Sanchez which cuts Romero price tag in half so technically we are not spending silly money so far.
