I'd expect a lot depends on if the Garcia move to Barca goes through.

He's a decent CB as log as Phil Jones isn't near him. got away from him went to Roma and was outstanding. He was also a rock for Mourinho the year he got united to 2nd.
Couldnt agree less. Cant pass the ball for shit. Decent defender but one of the worst defenders in the league on the ball.

Ally Gold in his latest video says he's someone we've looked at the last couple of windows to see if his situation would change at City.

Under Poch maybe but I don’t see it under Mourinho. He just can’t iron those problems out of his game and doesn’t look like he really wants to either. A player with a point to prove though and with the euros coming up at the end of the season he will be wanting game time.

I was thinking about him earlier. I don’t really know how he got on for Roma. Was he really that bad at Man U two years ago? Can’t say I remember or took any notice. A player Mourinho knows but I’m not sure he is any better than what we have.

Widely considered one of the league's best performers last season and Roma were desperate for him back, but were skint.

If we want a CB who thinks he's better than he is, who dwells on the ball inside his own penalty area or just outside it in the belief that he can easily beat the ongoing attacker or presser, only to find out unceremoniously that he's not and the ball ends up in the net as it's whipped off his toes in a flash by the opposition, or we want a player who is going to casually roll a half hit pass back to our keeper then I'd say sign him. If we don't want that them I'd say pass.

He'd turn Lloris' hair grey in a few weeks with that sort of stuff . Any fan of ours watching who still has hair would be pulling it out and having palpitations on multiple occasions in every game he plays. I don't think I could bear watching Hugo passing it to him in our own six yard box at a goal kick. It's a no from me.

His problems at Citeh have come about due to him overplaying at the back, something that won't be in issue with us.

I like this move.
When he joined city I thought ‘they’ve got a good ‘un’ there. He’s deteriorated since, he’s only 26, and I think a lack of confidence/self-belief is an huge part of the problem. I like the idea, but wasn’t it a wage thing that’s putting us off?

A terrific bonus if we get Stones is that he could also play a DM role if Hjojberg is injured or needs a rest. And he’s a Home Grown player...

Would rather try their big dude who crushed it in the Championship last year.
