There could well have been discussions around some of their players too.

He wouldn’t be going on a pre-season tour if we are looking to sell, especially with only a year left, one injury could cost us the transfer fee.

We’d be announcing a minor injury. Instead we’re showing pictures of him grinning away whilst training.

This will be dragging on until at least the end of preseason tours.
Pretty sure Bale went on tour during the window we sold him.

The only thing to debate really is what we will accept, if Bayern offer that number we will sell, whether its 100m 200m or whatever there is a number we will sell at and Bayern arent close to it, my guess is 120m

every player has their price... if Bayern meet the asking price Kane will be given the choice... and only PSG could match/top it, Prem clubs won't be invited to the bid.

Still don't think Bayern pony up, and even if they do that he goes- he would prefer to assess his options from a position of fuller control I'm sure

Plenty to talk about over that breakfast, hopefully one of their CBs in a straight deal!

and who would you buy to fill in HK's boots with £120m presently???
There isn't really anyone, but would be a little bit easier to try with £120m than nothing next summer but without any European football this year I should imagine it will be harder to attract the level of quality we would like. Although the best outcome would be Kane stays and signs a new deal. Eventually we will have to face life without Kane though as sad as that will be

Don’t try to replace him like for like as it’s impossible. Instead push Son to striker as he profiles similar to an Ange number 9 and then go and pay massive money for Mitoma and Diaby/Olise/Nico Williams.

Nah we would definitely need a target man and I don’t just mean Richarlison. He spends to much time in the treatment room and son away for a month in January.

would be crazy not to go out and buy a forward that can hold the ball up and bring other players into the game

Hypothetical: Kane signs a 4-year extension, but we have to let him go to Bayern on a 1-season loan. Bayern pays a ~25m loan fee and covers his wages for the season.

Would you take it?

Di we need a target man? I don't think kane is good in the air, with his back to goal.

To me that's the definition of a target man, and I doubt we will be playing much long ball

Or maybe it was to meet levy who was publicly pissed at them to smooth over any Ill feeling ... no one knows a thing

Agree. But I’m not certain levy takes a meeting with them other than to tee something up. Whether it’s a transfer now at the price we want or an agreement that they take him next summer so he doesn’t go to an English team.

All I know is I’m less confident than I was 24 hours ago that he’d be playing for us next season and up until now I was 100% sure he would do.

It's Kane's mobility and the ability to strike the ball from nearly anywhere that we will miss.

Yeah I don't think we have a choice in this when he's out of contract.

There was a link that they wanted PEH, maybe a kill two birds with one stone meeting with Levy saying Kanes not leaving but of course you can have PEH

If we would not be able to sign a ready-made CF (eg Vlahovic) who would go straight into the first XI, we could perhaps consider the alternative option of a younger CF with potential (eg Ferguson). Considering that we already have Rich and Sonny who can do a job at CF, we should therefore be able to ease in the younger CF (without the expectation of him scoring 20+ goals in his first season).

I appreciate that Ferguson may be an unrealistic example, as he would cost a bomb (and therefore may not be an attractive risk/reward option). However, I am sure that other posters (with better knowledge than myself of players outside the PL) may have better options in mind.

Having breakfast with Bayern. Levy knows he is losing his position of power with Kane. No chance he would have entertained this 2 years ago when City wanted him. He’s preparing to sell if he has to.
The one to probably look out for is if he suddenly has an injury that means he can't play. So he's there for all the publicity, but not risking an injury.
