weren’t we told we want a pacy winger for that side ala Sarr or the Georgian lad totally opposite type of player to silva

We were, but we've also known for a while that we're looking to add creativity to the midfield, which Bernardo brings.

If he's part of the Kane deal, that solves the creativity issue, and leaves finances for the outlay on the winger. Hopefully the Georgian lad who's name is a bunch of consonants.

Must say maybe it's the feeling or rejection or bitterness but I've lost all respect for him.

I know its happened before but he is no longer a spurs legend to me at least. He's taking the dirty dirty oil money which as England captain is a look that the FA should not want , has behaved totally unprofessionally and shown himself to be just another greedy, selfish thick footballer.

People move on and I get it, were not very good but his behaviour added to him wanting to join the modern Blackburn with a sprinkle of facism backing them should mean he is never welcome back.

A bit of a over reaction..... he wants to win trophies. He signed the contract yes...but in essence it's meant to protect the clubs asset and get a return on their investment. We not competing for trophies. Let him move on. Whats important is that we invest WISELY with the cash received and come out stronger as a club.

All the angst for a player who made it very clear over the years that he is happy to stay if we competing. We not competing and has a desire to move on. Our anger should be towards our owners who have fiddled along for 4 years. I bear no grudge/disdain or disappointment in HK. He is looking after his future and all the best to him with that.

The issues of the last 2 weeks is just a side show to what was inevitable. his behavior in doing that interview before the season ended was amateurishfor certain. So many on here are behaving worse than jilted lovers. Let him move on and be thankful we had a world class player in our team who our owners failed to build something special around him.

Still kills me that we signed Lo Celso over him. Don't get me wrong, I feel Lo Celso with no injuries can be a very good player for us but Bruno is next level. I know people hate his diving and he can go missing occasionally but christ his returns are impressive and a deal was 100% there to be done.

Yes, his numbers are great. But I'm glad we don't have that whiny little shit in our team.

Harry Redknapp just interviewed at Newbury on ITV racing, he thinks Kane is going , even worse though he doesn't think Spurs can win the league.

Mike McGrath:

But the same article, jointly written with Jason Burt, contradicts itself:

Doesn‘t really contradict itself though does it. On one hand you have Levy who is apparently holding firm, on the other hand you have Kane and City who think there’s a deal there to be done. City have consistently thought they’ll get somewhere by low balling us, I guess this is just a matter of how long Levy’s resolve holds.

The problem with Lo Celso is he seems to do nothing particularly well. There is nothing outstanding in his game. Plus his injuries.

Let's hope he turns it around and does well but he will never be at Fernandes level.
Yep, I still don't get Lo Celso's strength. He lacks physicality, his pass is not great, same as his shooting. He is not good defensively. And yet people are hating Ndombele while, for me, Lo Celso has done nothing so far considering that they both came to Spurs at the same time

For the millionth time. Fernandes is in the past. It’s done. Let it go for God sake. We have this same conversation every single time he plays well. And guess what, he’s a United player! He was shit for Portugal and at the end of last season for United and no one said anything. Only his good games. I’m so irritated every time this is brought up. Every single club in the world has been close to signing a player that turns out to be amazing for someone else. It’s not some incredible anomaly. Ofc I’d trade lo celso for him, but that’s not the point. And this really isn’t the thread for this convo so I hope this is the end here.

Trix said 140 plus add ons now but even if it was £130m let’s have some perspective.

It would be the 3rd highest fee ever, and about 25% more than has ever been paid for a 28 year old even before any add ons. This is for a man with a less favourable injury history than any of the other guys at the top of the list, during a pandemic.

If we get 140 plus add ons I think that’s a great deal - 200 was always posturing to set a standard for negotiation

What are you doing here Charlie ? Anything less than £150 MILLION is a disgrace.

Good Afternoon, having spent the last 13 days reading every page, I am currently at 11:03 this morning, however I digress. Not sure if this has been mentioned before, what I would love about this whole sordid transfer saga, is…..When Spurs and Shitty finally agree a deal (whatever that may be) call the Chuckle brothers in and explain the deal has been done, and all they have to do is submit a transfer request, Oh to see their faces…comedy gold. Anyway that’s it, I am going back to 11:03 to read the next (previous?) pages. COYS.

you miss the key point about how Kane has behaved. That’s why I want him out too if we receive an acceptable offer and secure at least one quality CF to help plug the chasm he would leave behind.

I do agree that Levy is to blame for the lack of competitiveness which drove Kane away.

It's all the same drama Cliff whether he pitched up for training or not last monday, the result is still the same, he is leaving. Maybe I'm numb to this... having gone through the emotions with Berbatov, Keane, Modroc and Bale that this doesn't bother me so much.... look it will hurt really bad seeing him play for another team.. ...but our owners are to blame like i said.

Go with McGrath. I’m not sure Jason Burt knows much. He’s pretty much an opinion piece and feature writer while McGrath has nailed our transfer window.

Financially we should be able to get Vlahovic + Martinez who imo as a little and large duo would work very well together and obviously throw in Son. Neither PL proven, but significantly younger than Kane. There’s a real possibility we might actually be better.
