Consider all the info about United monitoring, it sounds like we made a move and Ajax informed United and they naturally paid a bigger price.
Yes all that dithering over the past *checks notes* 26 hours.Another potential signing we dithered and arsed about with for him to only go to United and succeed. I thought we would have learnt from Bruno Fernandes.
If we are / were in a battle with ManU there is no chance because they'll offer him *at least* 50% more money
ExactlyAla Martial.
We would need to sell Ndombele to sign him. And fit Tanguy Ndombele is better footballer than fit Van de Beek btwAnother potential signing we dithered and arsed about with for him to only go to United and succeed. I thought we would have learnt from Bruno Fernandes.
Only other player of note I can think of is Quincy Promes, but that would only add a player to an area of the squad that seems somewhat bloated.Didn't want to engage in guessing games in the ITK thread but as per Herc's latest we're interested in a second unnamed Ajax player, with Sess potentially going on loan.
One player that may make sense is Sergino Dest. He's a pacey fullback who can play on both sides, so would give us added depth at both fullback positions, covering if Tanganga continues to have injury issues and also slotting in for Sessegnon's place on the left. He's also American which Levy always loves for commercial reasons.
Another might by Ryan Gravenberch potentially to take Ndombele's place in the squad. Young teenage megatalent tipped as the "Dutch Pogba". He's inexperienced and hasn't shown anything to make you think he's ready to play in the Premier League, so in that sense may not be a direct Ndombele replacement per se, but if we're being honest Ndombele is contributing fuck all anyway so replacing him with a huge talent who would need to cut his teeth in Europa League and domestic cup matches is fine by me. I can't really see that one coming off though, as I'd have to imagine that a big part of the reason Ajax are keen to sell VdB is that they've got Gravenberch there to slot in for him.
Anyone more familiar with Ajax have any ideas as to who else we might be interested in?
What is this “fit Tanguy Ndombele” you speak of?We would need to sell Ndombele to sign him. And fit Tanguy Ndombele is better footballer than fit Van de Beek btw
Tagliafico would fit the Davies role well I thinkOnly other player of note I can think of is Quincy Promes, but that would only add a player to an area of the squad that seems somewhat bloated.
There was a Brazilian kid we were linked to, not Neres.Didn't want to engage in guessing games in the ITK thread but as per Herc's latest we're interested in a second unnamed Ajax player, with Sess potentially going on loan.
