Donny van de Beek compared to Manchester United's midfielders in the league and Europe in 2019/20:
❍ 1st - chances created (50)
❍ =1st - Big Chance Created (9)
❍ 2nd - goals (10)
❍ 2nd - assists (7)

Man it would have been nice to have $ this window. A real buyers market.
I don't believe we really cannot afford. As much as I really wish for him to come, Mourinho may see otherwise. If he insisted, Levy may just be able to compete for that price. We needed someone to replace Eriksen's departure. That is the priority in midfield now. VdB is not exactly that.

he was too similar to Dele in style and age for the purchase to be worth it for us i feel

Really good deal for them. Solid player. May not be a true superstar, but skilled + effort and can play multiple positions. Gives them rotation options with little dropoff.

Good player but not in the position we really need just now. If we didn't still have such big gaps in our squad he would be a player we could have gone for.

We have our priorities for who/positions we need and need to stick to that if we want to improve on last season.

I would rather spend huge money on any ajax academy graduate rather than 1 season wonder from french or german league
