Sky Blues boss Tony Mowbray looking to tap in to Tottenham's Under-21 development squad for season-long loans.

I've always said that we should try and loan players to the same team as it helps them create a relationship together whilst they improve. Its the closest thing we could get to a competitive "B" Team

I remember someone saying the same thing about Swindon maybe 18 months ago. I agreed then and still do. It's a really good idea so long as the club we team up with play the way of our academy and other teams to make a fluid change over and learning experience. Another added bonus of this is we could cherry pick our partners future stars.

As others have said sending them into a team that want to play the right way and that are committed to developing young players is essential. I wouldn't be surprised to see a player or two ending up in MK this year after the Dele Alli deal.

Think it's a great idea. The better the relationship, the more value the loan club will put on the player. Less chance of them being left high and dry...

I'd prefer to have some sort of link-up with a Championship club. The level of players we are producing now are ready for that level by age 19-20 when we usually send them out on loan.

Mowbray is a top bloke as well, absolutely committed to playing good football.

How many can we send on loan at the same time?

Last link up we lost modric and Bale...I couldn't come with kane and lloris going to Coventry......

A link up with them could be good, would give some youths a chance to step up and then promote u18s up also and so on.

I disagree. Maybe technically, but less so mentally or physically in general. Just because your ripping up the relatively uncompetitive u21s doesn't mean your ready for the championship, where teams actually have something to play for.
I think league 1 for half of season, or a full season, and then the championship.

You would think we will have good relationships with QPR, MK Dons and Brentford in the Championship.

Swindon, and Coventry and Colchester in league one

We've had plenty of lads on league two placements, Ball at Cambridge, Coulthirst at York for example

Now we'vre potentially got Warburton at Rangers in the Scottish Championship and Tim for Prem loans at Villa, it's working well.

Do we want to ruin our prospects?

I'm a bit disappointed he's gone there. Partly as for him, with the expectations of the club he's in a no win situation, but also Pritchard's loan to Brentford was down to Warburton's relationship with McDermott. I'm pretty sure he could have got another job in the Championship, which would be a much higher standard to send more loans to than Scotland.

I'm looking at it slightly differently. We have a little group of players who we obviously rate highly but have fallen behind the curve and have struggled for game time in previous league one and two loans.

I'm thinking particularly of McEvoy and Coulthirst. Yeah we could give them league one and league two loans but I think they need something different having failed in the past. Coulthirst would I think score 15-20 at that level and his confidence would soar, Same with Kenny M, he'd play week in week out and be able to find his touch again.

Yes the level may be poor but they' be getting the same coaching as Pritchard and playing in front of big crowds week in week out. I suspect they would grow as much from that as a few sub games in league one. It could be a way to boost the lads who are struggling and need games.

Bostock has rebuilt his career in Belgium in the second division by doing a similar thing and talked about how his confidence took a pounding at Spurs.

Obviously I'm not saying send our best players there but it could be an option for some.

Guys, the Scottish Championship isn't that bad. It didn't help really that the Championship play-offs were just dire, but there can be some good play from some of the top clubs (of which includes Rangers).

Add to this that Rangers are most likely looking at promotion this year or the next and you're sending your young guys to a winning team playing in a big stadium in front of loads of fans that's quality lies somewhere in League 1.

Although personally, as a Hibee, I'd like to remind Spurs that Easter Road regularly takes in Premier League talent that isn't quite making it and turns them into relegation-tier Premier League players, and selling those sorts of players has netted Spurs a lot of money recently.

Both clubs ( Rangers and hibs) will be looking for cheap players or loans, and both will win moat games this season, but the standard from top teams to the bottom is big and even though they will win, might not learn or develop as much.

I'm still for a relationship with either of those two clubs. Both are too good for the Championship and will get promoted within this season or the next, and the SPL is only slightly worse than the English Championship in my reckoning.

Windy's thoughts on possible loanees. He's not included older lads, maybe thinking that they should get time with the first team, at least in pre-season, but the likes of Dominic Ball (if he cannot get a Championship loan) would be an almost certain certain star at Coventry. Mowbray is a decent manager and could get Coulthirst to put in a decent run too
