I'm so fucking disappointed. After years of waiting there was a real opportunity to see a Polish team in the CL. (n)

Feel bad for Warsaw, the bloke was on the pitch for all of 2 minutes, wasn't he? Anyways, Celtic getting jammy, not for the first time in Europe, although last time I think it was in the Europa... definitely remember them getting a bye after being hammered, then went on to do quite well iirc.

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

Love the way Uefa pick and choose the severity of things. Fielding a player (which seems like a genuine mistake) for all but a couple of minutes when you have completely obliterated the other team other two legs seems extremely harsh.

It might seem that my username would have some sway for me, but as i am in no shape or form Polish, just think if you are the better team, then maybe a fine would have sufficed

Our U21's withdrew from the first edition of the NextGen for fielding an ineligible player so this sort of thing is not unheard of.
That was different though, we had fielded an ineligible player in the group stage. No one said anything, had they complained ajax would have taken our place.

However liverpool being the ****s they are, waited to so what happened in our match and when we beat them then complained about the player, meaning the the ****s guaranteed themselves going through and not having to play a legitimate match against ajax

Sounds like one rule for small clubs and another rule for big clubs:

However, in 2010, Uefa fined Debrecen £15,000 but rejected a protest from opponents Litex Lovech, who wanted the Hungarian side kicked out of the tournament for fielding an ineligible player.

Debrecen argued that they fielded Peter Mate in good faith as a substitute in Bulgaria when they were leading 4-1 on aggregate.

Uefa ruled that Debrecen had "no interest in fielding this player for the three last minutes of additional time, when the score was so clearly in its favour".

Now this confirms to me had we been a bigger club, uefa would of let us in to the CL in 2012

That guy they bought on in the 90th minute had no affect on the game, they were 6-1 up and coasting.

How can they even justify that decision?

I would imagine the justification is that the competition rules state that fielding an ineligible player results in the opposition team get a 3-0 walkover.

Massively flukey for Liverpool that the likes of Roma and Monaco qualified ahead of teams like Milan and Lyon.
