Yeah as I just explained in my post above to ELY, it was more about not seeing another thread filled up with more bashing.

Don't blame anyone for not being positive towards him :)

Did feel a bit sorry for him listening to him last night, but I guess a lot of his fan group will say that was his manipulative streak coming out lol

Not sure he has a fan club, just a lot of people bored of the repetetive and sometimes unjustified bollocks the haters keep posting on every thread regardless if it is TS related or not :)

I don't think Pulis will win because he should get manager of the season. If Tim wins then more power to his elbow. Should help his search for a new club come the season end.

Fuck him he is a tosser ....all he cares about right now is getting his win percentage up so he can gloat, he does all his dirty washing in public, plays shite football and i can't wait for him to go more than any other Spurs manager in our history...and i have seen plenty since the late 70's.

So sorry i wont join you in wishing him good luck.....hes an absolute cock.

So you arent a fan?

I heard this stat form Ray Wilkins on TalkSport yesterday. Since Tim took over:
Arsenal - 37 points
Spurs - 36 points
Everton - 35 points.

Seems to be doing OK to me baring in mind everyone is waxing lyrical about Martinez and Wenger seems to be back as flavour of the month...

Yeah, he does say stupid things in public. But are we not all guilty of that?

We'd actually be fourth, above Arsenal in a table since Sherwood took over.

That he has even been nominated shows that he has improved and the team's performance has improved. I think we all agree it needs to improve even more, but nevertheless well done TS.
That he's been nominated shows we got decent results this month.

Doesn't take into account the quality of performance, neither does it take into account the relative ease of the fixtures we had.

Unless we'd played exactly the same teams in exactly the same circumstances across those fixtures, that's a completely irrelevent stat. It's just like the stat we saw last season where during the calendar year Arsenal were top of the league by about 7 points. Means nothing when they always bottle it at some point.

I think Sherwood's done ok results-wise - but as Nicdic says, that's not been any great achievement considering the teams we've played. He's also had the huge benefit of managing to go out of all three cup competitions as soon as he possibly could (with the exception of the EL, where it was one round after the first possible stage). We all know that when you only play once a week it's much easier to pick up results than if you're playing twice a week every week, re-arranging fixtures and getting no time on the training pitch. It's one of the reasons Liverpool are where they are.

I'll settle for the improvement in results, whoever they are against! (y)

you can only take on what's in front of you, the premier league isn't an easy league which can be proven when teams like chelsea lose to sunderland and man city stumble a bit as well. Sherwood has done a good job to get the team picking up lots of points, winning games and getting lots of goals which was a big issue under AVB. If we win the last two games spurs will finish with the same amount of points as last season which was the highest tally ever in the premier league.

I don't want him to stay either, just think there isn;t much need for the constant bashing anymore when we all know he's off.

Rise above it sort of thing, he'll be gone soon enough.

But, what if he isn't?:eek::eek::eek:

What if he wins Manager of the Month and gets kept on:mad::depressed::arghh:

His points total is ok (as he's quick to tell us), it's his personality, two defeats to arsenal, lack of tactics and apparent falling out with everyone that's so off putting. There might be the makings of a good manager in there somewhere but he's not done or shown anything to make me want to keep him at the club.
Manager of the month would be just priceless IMO lol.
Team Pulis on this one. The media would no doubt try to make us look bad for sacking a guy who has just been named motm and a guy who makes as many odd comments and team selections as tim does not deserve a nice sparkling ornament for his office/ego.
I'm still so confused as to why daniel put him in charge, the powers that be must have known what his personality was like? For someone so in with the board he's not exactly towing the party line too often.

So its gone to Pulis and rightly so IMO. Fantastic job he has done there.

Can't help but think the FA hold some stock in the 'MOTM curse' though considering the other main contender and their opponent however...

I'm going to have to disagree there. With your spelling of irrelevant. Lolz.

PS - haven't looked at the stats but I presume we've played pretty much exactly the same teams that Arsenal and co have (as Tim came in at c.50% the way through the season). Your argument would render the final league table irrelevant because not all games are played in exactly the same circumstances. So yeah, in summary, I think his record this season compared to competitors' managers is pretty relevant, as much as I dislike Tim.
