They've been in training barely 4 weeks & that's not all of them. Some came back late! Some have been on international duty. That equates to about 2 weeks with their club.

Jose explained why a number of players have missed preseason in his post match press conference. He also confirmed a number of players have either had Covid or been in contact with people who have had Covid and have had to self isolate.

Kane - holiday - isolation - England duty - 1 training session

Doherty - holiday - International duty - no training

Whereas we know the following players have been missing for weeks:

Sanchez, Tanganga, Winks, Lo Celso, Ndombele

ITK's are gospel.... Don't take them seriously ... I remember one senior ITK told after we sold walker that in January we will sign sancho from city ... Everything is agreed with him as he wants to stay in london .... Another ITK told chelsea is in financially mess .... Lol ...

It’s not a question of whether an ITK is right or wrong... the simple fact here is we’ve once again started a season and not any old season... one with a colossal amount of games in a short period of time... and done so with gaping holes in our squad. We were atrocious last season and we looked no better today. Actually we were worse as at least when the season restarted in June? For all but one of the games we defended and attacked as a team. Today we did neither whether it be as a team or individuals.

If they really wanted to be in shape at the start of the season( everybody knows when will season start), they would not have gone to outside of the country during this pandemic where nobody knows in which moment we have to be in lockdown and which country will suffer

Just because he could have stayed at home and caught covid, then why all the country gave lock down and all these health measurements ... The situation is not normal, but for professional footballers stakes are more higher ... If a player thinks he can't be in shape on September 13th, then he had to readjusy his schedule ... It's I think and should be part of his job

I’ve a question, if one season wonder Sorloth is that good why haven’t:

a) Trabzonspor signed him? bear in mind the loan only cost them circa £700k
b) Why haven’t Palace reincorporated him into their squad this season?

This reeks of a bargain basement pissing in the wind signing.

A - Trabz' purchase clause is only active after this season. It's at 7m and they've already said they'll activate it. Their intention is to sell him with profit. His market value seem to be 20m.

B - Palace haven't got an option to terminate the loan deal and the player have no desire to return. Their hands are tied, only way for Palace to earn more than 7m is if a buying club can come to an agreement with both Trabzonspor and Palace this summer.

If it's true that us and Leipzig are the interested parties, Leipzig being a team that pissed all over us just last season, then I trust their scouting network that he's good enough. More than I trust ours.
