Remember watching some Palace games and actually being quite shocked and how awful he was.

He’d fit right in, sign him up Levy!

Haven’t seen him play much but looks strong and powerful.

It’s pretty funny that most the strikers we’ve been linked to, with the exception of Edouard/Milik, are ones who have had exactly one outstanding season in their careers, normally in weaker leagues - Daka/Vinícius/Watkins/Sørloth/Diallo, even Ings arguably.

Then you’ve got to ask who is in charge of picking these players and whether he is correct in doing so. There must be a reason this type of player keeps coming up.

I think latter is more realistic in terms of spurs

A week ago we had ITK that two deals were further forward than the others... one more advanced than the other. Whereas the last few days its back to one of 5, 6 and so on.

I wouldn’t put it passed Spurs to get knocked out of the Europa on Thursday and then we can forget about having any hope of signing Bale and/or a striker. A defeat will destroy our steady fragile morale and the club will have no one but themselves to blame.

The argument that we didn’t need a striker today doesn’t fly especially when Jose confirmed Kane has only had 1 preseason training season and he was blowing out of his arse most of the game. We were crying out for match fit players today.

I have seen this kid play quite a few games through the years, and I must say after finding his confidence in Turkey he is not the same player he were in Palace, where he never really got a chance. He is big and powerful with quite a lot of pace when he gets up to speed. Tall guy and a good header of the ball. Not the most technical player, but can link up. 31 goals and 10 assist in 41 games in turkish leauge & cup is pretty good.

He is not as bad as a lot of you are making him seem.

Doesn't matter how many strikers we sign if we don't have anyone to create chances for them, or at the very least pass the ball forwards every once in a blue moon.

I've come to the acceptance that whatever striker is the most disliked will simultaneously be the one we sign and the one that ends up the best of the bunch.

Leipzig and Nagelsmann want to sign him as well. They seem to have a decent track-record with scouting players.

Here’s last season top scorers in Turkey - you’ll recognise the Dads Army cast lol

Sorloth (24) 24 goals

Papiss Cisse (35) 22 goals

Jahovic (33)17 goals

Muriqi (26) 15 goals

Demba Ba (35) 13 goals

I’ve a question, if one season wonder Sorloth is that good why haven’t:

a) Trabzonspor signed him? bear in mind the loan only cost them circa £700k
b) Why haven’t Palace reincorporated him into their squad this season?

This reeks of a bargain basement pissing in the wind signing.

Trabzonspor are signing him and then selling him for big profit

So everyone on here is clueless and Sorloth who scored:

C Palace - zero goals
Gent - 4 in 19
Trabzonspor - 24 in circa 30 games

Is on par if not better than the other strikers we’ve been linked with?

He’s had one good season in a piss poor league and done the square root of fuck all before that. In no way shape or form does that equate to him being a good fit for us. Albeit a shambles at the moment we’ve top 4 aspirations and Sorloth is not that player.

People will still make it fit

a) Trabzonspor's 'president' confirmed Sorloth wants to leave them, so that would suggest a problem
b) We don't know if they even have a recall option, so it's speculation.

Also who are responsible that players are out of shape ? Medical team, player themselves or the coach? A big and competent club like chelsea, arsenal would find it out and reprimand those .... But we wont .... We will curse our luck .... Why Kane has only had 1 pre season training session? Why not 2,3 or 4 training session so that he can play this match upto full speed? Whose fault is this? Surely you can't blame luck .... Big and competent club won't do that ...

You're probably right. He's probably not as bad as we think.

But is he of suitable quality for a team aspiring to win leagues and titles. With the most expensive fan prices in Europe?

Is he a player to challenge and compliment Kane who will likely leave next summer?

The answer is NO.
