Dude, I'm all for calling out bad play, but a poor finish is missing the target entirely, or banging it over the bar. He hit the post after some beautiful build up play. Be fair. There's such a thing as being overly critical for the sake of it.
And everyone on SC would have fluffed their lines far worse than Dier did

I think everyone needs to calm their tits tbh.

We’ve weathered the pressure well. 6 weeks ago I imagine we’d have been 2-0 down at this point.
All I could think towards the end of that half was that we wouldn't have kept a clean sheet under Poch. It's not really fair on him to speculate but I don't know that we'd have won any of our league matches since Mourinho came in (except Burnley maybe).

That was a shocking half of football - yes football.

Funnily enough we maybe should have been up 0-2.

So so very poor. Our forwards can't hold onto the ball.
Our CMs can't pick a pass under pressure and get us out of it.
Our CBs just keep doing long balls every time.
I really don't like how we play football - but I guess we have to get used to it under Jose.

I'd like Jose to make a change. Take Lucas or Son out and play GLC/Eriksen in for a better ball player.

It’s really not a recipe for success long term. We’ve gone from one extreme to the other now. Even when players have time they are aimlessly hooking the ball away. Alot of these players are good enough to work the ball out as well. We need Foyth to come in and Ndombele to get fit because it’s just part of their game naturally.

Our ball retention had been putrid. Sanchez and Dier have had remarkably uneven games. Serge and Sissoko not good. Son has been taken out of the game by Wolves. Needs to get himself more involved.

Sanchez was awful for some periods in that half. Hopefully gets his shit together at half time. Great game of football though.

Christ this half time American NBC coverage I'm legitimately watching perfectly legally is bad.
NBC is always hot garbage for any coverage when they do these stupid fan fests. Just a shock they havent found a way to wank off Liverpool yet

What game are people watching when they say we are playing well? We are putting in effort yes...but we have been incredibly wasteful with our passes and are on the backfoot constantly.

We need to step it up 2nd half because they wont continue to always miss when shooting

It's the type of performance in which if we get away with it, you may say it's a typical Mourinho away performance. It's good to see us defend well but definitely need to be better on the ball.

It's one of those games though where I feel that if Wolves get one back they'll be rampant for a second and we will end up losing.

Aurier keeps floating centrally and leaving our right side completely exposed, I don't know if it's been instructed or if he's just AWOL.

Son and lucas need consistancy like mane and salah. I don't see why they can't operate similar on the counter

Son maybe but however much I want Lucas to break out I just don’t see it. Dribbles himself into blind alleys and his touch is way too inconsistent.

mourinho certainly seems to believe in him though so there’s something there

That was a hard watch, seemed like the ball had magnets as it kept being pulled to Wolves feet. Some stubborn defending though and could be 2-0 up, hopefully we can get some magnets in our boots 2nd half.
That's what happens when you're structure is poor, especially the midfield. It's why Jose needs an opportunity to work specifically on this otherwise players just run around like headless chickens
