We need someone in midfield who can put their foot on the ball. Too many nervous nellies in there giving away possession any time someone comes near them.

Winks needs to come on, shame Ndombele is missing, we lack control in the middle

Frantic first half of football. I wonder whether Wolves can keep up this intensity - and for all that effort they've expended we've had the better chances.

Would like to see Mou change something at half time though. We need some ball retention in midfield.

Agree. That lack of composure will cost us in the bigger teams, if it doesn’t yet cost us today.

Dude, I'm all for calling out bad play, but a poor finish is missing the target entirely, or banging it over the bar. He hit the post after some beautiful build up play. Be fair. There's such a thing as being overly critical for the sake of it.
It’s cause it’s Dier and everyone wants to jump all over everything he does.

I'd be thinking about taking Son off the way he's been playing today and put Sessegnon on, he'll be able to help out Jan defensively as that's their main route to attack us and also his pace will help us on the break. (he'll probably score a 2nd half hat trick now I said that)

We should have scored 3 and are iucky not to have conceded as well. Dier's miss is the best chance of the half and would have been a great goal. Sanchez is having a mare and every time he has the ball it seems to result in them nearly scoring. I'd be tempted ot bring on Foyth for him second half.

We’re ahead so that’s good but we are under so pressure - a lot of it self- inflicted. Dier’s been good but mainly as a spare CB and we have zero presence in midfield and I can’t discern a plan really. Don’t mind us playing in a low block but as it stands I can’t see the traps we should be setting for them on the break.

cant see them not scoring so we’ll probably need another goal if not two.

Well that was stressful. We won the ball in promising positions so many times, only to make a horrible pass and give it straight back.

We crying out for someone like Ndombele who can retain the ball under pressure and make accurate passes from deep.

On the positive side, I actually think our defensive shape is looking a lot better with Dier and Sissoko covering really well. We were massively helped by Traore's inability to cross or pick out a man, though.

I'd Bring on GLC for Dier and switch Sissoko to the left side of CM to help with Traore. Making sure Aurier is more disciplined at the same time and doesn't bomb forward

Christ this half time American NBC coverage I'm legitimately watching perfectly legally is bad.

That was a hard watch, seemed like the ball had magnets as it kept being pulled to Wolves feet. Some stubborn defending though and could be 2-0 up, hopefully we can get some magnets in our boots 2nd half.

Aurier and Sissoko in the same triangle is always going to gift away possession again and again. Delighted to see Dier improve for every game he gets under his belt.

I feel a change is needed to keep them out. Ball retention in the middle is poor. Our only option is dier laying a 5yard pass or sissoko trying to run it forwards. Need another body in there which would mean sacrificing a forward player.
