54 pages in 7 days, 54 pages of different ways to say "I don't think anything will happen" or "I would be happy with just a LB and lionel messi as backup to soldier and ade." I have found previous TW discussions really entertaining reading with all the bickering, sniping and handwringing - but this is possibly even better... Its like watching a toothless old man trying to eat oranges. Keep up the fine work!!

If we're all honest then I dont think any of us expected us to sign anyone and rightly so really.

Would we have liked a new signing? Obviously.....after all it's fun to get new players.

I don't think any of our needs are glaring BUT if Ade went down injured then I would personally be a little worried.

The Summer is when we need to refine our squad as last summer ended up getting a little crazy. A top striker needs to be the priority. If possible I'd want us to be looking at either Benteke or Lukaku.

Very pleased with the window so far.

Nice to see the club isn't been run by a 12 year playing a football manager game for once.

Hope Capoue will be sold though, although talented its clear that he is a complete **** and not wanted around the place.

Is it? If you've heard something the rest of us haven't, do share. It's been a very thin window on the ITK front.

You seem to have a different definition of the word "clear" to everyone else.

ITV (via ESPN journo Diego Cora) say we've made a bid for Javier Hernandez.
Says that it's between us, Monaco and Atletico Madrid...... So he won't be coming to us then!

with injuries to RVP and Rooney it leaves United with just Welbeck and Hernandez for a few weeks more, unless they really are pulling the trigger on a marquee striker signing it wouldn't make a ton of sense for them to sell him this window.

Pretty sure Moyes said in press conf yest that Rooney and RVP are training again and possibly back in squad for tonight.

Can't see the point in Hernandez. He'd surely go from their bench to ours. He'll want to be first choice wherever he goes. I think he'll go on loan somewhere initially. Rooney and RVP can't be far away.

Only couple of games but against Swansea (home), i think from memory, it was one of the earlier games anyway and definately vs Stoke Paulinho showed glimpses of an ability to run games. Unfortunately there has also been speculation over Real Madrid monitoring his progress, so we may only get another season out of him. Its nothing to cry over, Levy's model is the Ajax/Dortmund model, combining local academy talent with punts on young or out of favour players, building their career up then selling on.

Levy has a model? Does that explain how we went seamlessly from Ramos to Redknapp to AVB to Sherwood?
Always struck me that the only model we've been working from is lurching from one managerial crisis to the next and scattergun purchases from the bargain bin on deadline day.

Wish we had seen some kind of consistent plan or philosophy develop but it's never really felt that way to me.
