We had EVERY right to be in that final! We beat City at home, then went on to score 3 at the Etihad, we then beat Ajax in their own yard! Sounds like deserving finalists to me! You're just repeating the media/pundit/scouser bollocks!!! It's time we demanded more from our players, it's time we demanded succes when the opportunity arises!!
Spot fucking on. We deserved to be in the final & the opportunity arose to win it with LFC being so poor yet our big players failed to seize the moment.

You could sense from early on LFC weren’t their usual self & that should have encouraged us. Yet we just continued to keep pointless possession whilst making zero impact in the final third. It was bloody easy for LFC that even though they were WAY below their usual standards

It's time to freshen up the squad. I think Toby can go, Lamela love him but its time, Eriksen, Tripps and Aurier gone, need to bring in a left back, some defensive midfielders, creative midfielder. Easy to point out who needs to go but its hard to find suitable replacements.

You talk of Toby leaving without advocating buying a replacement

I assume that you deemed the accident prone Sanchez to be an adequate substitute

He is not

We are so going to regret this

It is comparable to replacing Carrick with Zokora

Not sure what we do from here but I'm sick of all the nonsense from fans of other clubs and broadcasters saying you should be proud of what you've achieved. Its patronising as fuck. I'm sick of it.

Our future?

1) Keep Poch
2) Give him as many of the key new players he wants
3) Get rid of, maybe at all costs, the ones he doe not want for whatever reason
4) Continue to have faith in his style of play, his growing tactical awareness and playing the Spurs way. In listening to some of the commentary yesterday I could just but shake my head about calls to hit long balls; to through in endless hopeful crosses. Stats say that something like 1 in 40 corners end in a goal (unless we are talking of the likes of WBA or Swansea), stats also show that it take on average around 65 crosses for every one goal. This is not the way to go. Spurs showed that under Bill Nicholson, especially with the double winning side, that quick passing and moving, that playing with courage, with belief is winning football. The English old ways will not produce top sides capable of producing the results we want. Poch needs the players who can make his adaptation of the Spurs way work

Yesterday we were not nearly at our best but showed me yet again that we must believe in the right style of football

I think we’ll spend around 220 this season. We will get 100 combined for Eriksen and Alderweireld. Next season we have to buy first team starters no backups, the season after that we’ll need to start looking at youth and replacements in defender and the keeper.

What do we do now? We sit and wait to see what the club do in the summer.

I think we can be proud of what we achieved but that's not to say what we achieved is the end of it. I think it's the end of this curent era but we just need to change things up now. Sir Alex did it numerous times at Utd. There wasn't just one team he managed or even one system he used throughout his time there. He always recognised the importance of adapting. We can be proud of what this group has done in the past 5 years. If this was Harry in charge he'd be happy that this is the best we'll ever do. Under Poch we'll look to build on from this and go the next step. He and Levy want to build one of the best clubs in the world, we're just entering the next stage in the plan.

We have to respect the fact Football has changed a lot over the years. What we've tried to do without spending much is close to impossible yet we almost did it. You look at Barcelona, they have one of the best academies in the world, yet even they spend so much money these days. To succeed now you really need to be able to field 2 strong teams and that costs money. It's the only way to challenge in the league and cups. For me we only really have about one and half teams of high enough quality. City and Liverpool on the other hand have 2. If we're to join them we need half a team of signings who are good enough to challenge for the first team.

I do honestly believe now that the stadium is built and generating money along with the tv and Champions League money, we'll start to spend now. Not silly money but still big enough money to push on from here. I think this was always Levy's plan while the stadium was being built. Squeeze as much out of a team with limited resources as possible and play regular Champions League football. We've accomplished our goal now. We're now in position for the next 5 year project which has to be even more ambitious now. I think Arnold said something good about Liverpool in the pre-match yesterday when he said at some point you have to demand trophies. That's the next stage for us.

We follow Liverpool's example, invest and hopefully improve. Time to be brave and live up to our motto.

What past history are you referring to?

Pick a summer transfer window, any window from the last 10 years and it can be that one. They want success but to get it with the bare minimum spent.

There’s a massive post on SC within the last month which backs up what I’ve said and what I’ve thought for years.
