He's our best Russian striker, that's for sure...

I don't want to see him go, but I can't see him fitting in much and can't imagine he'd be happy with cup ties as his only outlet.

But people have said he's willing to stay and fight for a place. And if somebody gets injured, he's a great talent to have in the wings.

I'm not sure... I rate Defoe, and he's always Rushin' :shrug:

I think PAV is a good striker - but for me he lacks that 'KILLER INSTINCT', that 'I'LL BE THERE - RIGHT TIME - RIGHT PLACE' vibe that Archibald, Lineker, Defoe (even) had/s.

If Pav was going to set the Premiership alight he would have done so by now.

He is a sort of 'stuck in the middle-man' striker - TALENT, but no real desire.

Shame because I think he could really be a world-class household name.

Give him to Mourinho for a season or two and you'd see a top striker.

Shame to see him go but i dont think he'd be happy being 4th choice.

You're right, and Keano always seems to be in a rush as well.

So he's even third choice as a Russian striker...

But he's our second most effective blonde striker.

Why wouldn't Pav stay until Jan and see how things play out with the Russian league going on winter break very early?

Why move to a team that isn't going to play? Sure he might not start every game for us but one injury to Crouch or Defoe and he probably starts every week for us, I would take my chances here instead of moving clubs and having to start all over again and then have to have a long winter break and not start playing again until Feb. if I was trying to make the national team.
