Out
Sissoko - tries hard but just isn’t up to it. Just gets the nod ahead of Winks
Lucas - likeable but he doesn’t score enough, create enough and has a poor first touch. Probably get a half decent fee
Rose - obviously has no future at the club

in
Grealish
Ings
Draxler

Wish List for laughs and dreams:

In: Grealish, Bale, Dost (preferable Edouard),
Out: Ndombele, Aurier, Dele + Rose (can not leave him out of the outs)

Dele, Aurier and Tanguy out to finance this (in a world were there are buyers for them with good offers). I'd tend to keep Lucas and Lamela as they put in an effort even as squad players. Similar to Sissoko. If they move on I'd be fine.

Squad:

GK: Lloris, Hart, Gazza
RB: Doherty, New English RB
CB: Alderweireld, Dier, Sanchez, Tanganga, Foyth
LB: Davies, Sessegnon, Cirkin
CM: Höjbjerg, Winks, Lo Celso, Gedson, White
LW: Grealish, Son, Bergwijn
RW: Bale, Lamela, Lucas, Sissoko
ST: Kane, Dost

--------------------Lloris----------------------
--Doherty---Toby--------Dier------Davies---
--------------------Höjbjerg------------------
------GLC------------------------Grealish------
--Bale---------------Kane--------------Son----

And now off to a thread with some reality.

Upon greater thought, I've revised my list based on Reguilon potentially go8ng to United and more thoughts into our midfield.

Ins

Zakaria
Grealish
Diallo

Outs

Sissoko
Foyth
Lamela

Those three sales should be able to help fund some ins. But more importantly we need bodies in midfield - box to box and defensive.

If Arsenal get Partey and Aouar they immediately get the strength and stability that we had with Wanyama and Dembele and that thought scares me.

Whilst I believe Davies isn't the best LB we should have, I don't think itd be the greatest concern if our midfield was sorted.

Thought i'd throw in just one very very controversial 'IN' , which would never happen, but i really like Matteo Guendouzi as a player. Obviously he'd have to cut his hair first, but i always thought he was their best midfielder - good passer, good engine, typical whiny Gooner yes, but now he's fallen out with them why not come to Spurs and stick 2 fingers up at them ?

This is a hard one as I feel there is a need to renew the team and get some hungry players in something which should have been done last summer giving Poch a proper chance but here we are.

Personally I like Levy and the way he has taken this club forward we would not be where we are today without his hard work. That being said I do feel he needs to start gambling a bit even though it is against his economic thinking. Any transfer is a gamble you never know how things will work out…Bentley, Rebrov, Mido vs Dawson, Lennon, Eriksen just to mention some examples.

I feel there are three areas that need attention so based on that I base my three ins on.

In: Striker – As much as we need a backup striker I feel he needs to be more than just a backup, HK needs to get the feeling his position in the starting 11 is under threat so that he can push even harder, some healthy competition is good for all parties. I think Milik looks the part.

In: Defender – Toby looked a bit slow and is coming older, Dier has the heart for the club but he needs to step up his game if he want’s to be a first choice CB, Sanchez is coming along and just needs a bit more polish. Skriniar

In: Midfielder – Even before Eriksen left we needed a second playmaker cause as soon as he was missing we struggled. Le Celso is showing signs of what he can do and Gedson has the potential question is if it will be we that unlock it. Here I’m lost for names as my Championship Manager days are long gone but some names that pop up are Grealish, Isco, Nkunku, Odegaard

Out:
Lamela – As mush as I like him for his workrate and heart that is not why we bought him. He continuously dribbles the ball that one time to much and just lacks the vision to set up his team mates, if he just passed the ball half the times he would have as many assists as Eriksen.

Aurier – Overall I don’t think he is that bad but I just don’t feel I can trust him in not making stupid mistakes and with Doherty the nr 1 I feel there must be a English RB we can bring in for cover.

Rose – Been fantastic for the club but both he and the club needs to move on

Wildcards: Bale, Reguillon, Dybala, Sabitzer

As there's a fair bit of this going on in other threads I thought I'd make this thread so people can get it off their chest.

Rules!
  • List your 3 buys.
  • List your 3 sells.
  • You can justify your choices in your post.
  • You can rate people's posts to like/dislike their choices
  • No discussion of other people's choices, any discussion on ANY players should go in the player threads.
  • Bonus Rule: If you must, post your new line up so we don't end up with formations going in other threads :p
You can either go with what you want to happen or what you expect to happen and can clarify which you've done if you want.

My wish list:

Buys

Bale
- We need winners. We need to show ambition if we want to keep Kane. I can see this happening.
Reguillon - Probably the hardest position to find quality and he is probably the best available and at a decent price.
Daka - I honestly don't know who. There are so many names foating around and I don't know enough to work out who I'd prefer. If we sign Bale, then I'm less concerned about having a ready-to-go forward and am happier that it's a kid who's mainly potential. Daka would seem to fit that bill but so do many of the others we've been linked with. If we don't get Bale then I'd lean towards Vinicius.

Sells

Aurier
- Complete liability.
Sissoko - This one's problematic because of how"popular" he is but he's just not that good. I'm assuming Ndombele comes good and fills that box to box role.
Lamela - A tough one but given injuries and end product, I think it's time to reluctantly move him on.

Donna, nice work on Bale and Reguillion but I think you've mixed up Dele and Erik again! :p

If we get Bale, I reckon Kane is our number 10. If we're going "all in" on Bale, it doesn't make sense to go half measures and I suspect we'll try and give Jose everything he wants in terms of backup as well.

I’d think with Reguilon also signing, its to help figure out ways to mitigate the distinct lack of a #10. I think Jose might move to a 343 system so its not as glaring an issue and only switch to 4231 or 433 if one of the 2 wing backs go down.

As you said elsewhere, the beauty of a striking lineup is Son Kane Bale is that if Bergwijn, Lamela, Lucas or Dele comes in for Kane, either of the other two can play up front.

I’ve been thinking this too. It really complements the players we have as well as meaning that Sessegnon isn’t knocked away from the pecking order. That said, whether he goes on loan or not will be revelatory I imagine. If he does, expect more 4231.

If funds were still available after a Bale, reguillon and a striker, think bringing in emil buendia would be a great signing for added creativity.

433 here we come, front three with pace and power, plus two defensively solid fullbacks that also have the energy and attacking output to provide width from deep, but then we need to protect the centre of defence so we’re not wide open, not sure 4231 does that.

Can I rejig my choices now two have (nearly) signed ?

So long as we keep Aurier, it straight replace him and don’t go into the season with one natural RB again, we’re not far off. Still need that second CF, and I’m an ideal world a Sissoko upgrade. However CF is the only key one left missing from my original list.

We are crying out for a back up DM, and a proper no.10. Beundia and Zakaria would be my picks.

If Hojbjerg gets injured, we're a bit screwed. We can't rely on Sissoko and Winks any more. It's pointless.

Can't you be a bit more constructive spurrific rather than just putting a spam emoticon !
What if he just thinks the post is spam? Surely a full reply to you on that basis would be hypocritical of ol’ @Spurrific as it would be a furtherance if the spam, no?

I don’t think your posts are spam, but I do disagree. But you and I have danced that danced so I’ll leave it there.

Bale, kane, Lloris out. All too injury prone.

Adam Le Fondre, Kenny McEvoy and Gomes on loan in. That's the dream
