Bale and Reguilon would have been 2 of my three honestly. Third I'll say Thiago now that Liverpool's pursuit looks dead in the water. Exactly what we need.

Considering what appears to already have been completed........

In

Weghorst
- We need a striker to complement Harry. I think they can play together if needed. He has made encouraging comments. @Stoof likes him so I'm in.
Draxler - He is seemingly out of favour at PSG. He has less than a year on his contract. Not likely to cost more than 20m Euro. He is not on huge wages so that is affordable. He is the type of player that does need a run of games but at his best he is fantastic. Speaks perfect english too. Only issue may be he seems to like it in Paris!
And with what we already have I think that's enough. Would be the most amazing window I can remember.

Out

Foyth -
I really like Juan. I think he could really be something. Problem is there is just no room for him. I think a sale is best for him and his development. Maybe a sneaky buy back because I do think he will make it.
Lamela - Oh Coco. You give everything, you get agro as fuck times and play hard and chase like a Jack Russell. BUT, we have to make sacrifices as a team and we need non HG spots. Last of the Beatles says goodbye as Elvis returns.
Rose - Needs to go for his sake and ours. Even a loan, doesn't matter. Love you at times and others its like WTF. (eg the famous google reference) Good luck Danny.

CB - Milan Skriniar/Ruben Dias - I think a top quality aggressive CB would be a good place to improve the starting XI. I like Skriniar best as he's a left footed CB which we are now lacking but Dias would be fantastic too and is probably more attainable (Mendes).

ST - Wout Weghorst - This guy just looks like the perfect plan B, rotation and kane partner all rolled into one. If we have any inclination that Kane wants out next season then we should be all over Edouard however.

DM - Sangare/Florentino Luis - early signs are that the signing of reguilon will lead to us playing a 4-3-3 with a holding midfielder. As such a cheap deal like Sangare or a loan for Luis could give us some much needed depth in DM and both have potential.

I honestly feel like we only need three signings to have a balanced squad, but need to probably sell 4-5 to clear space. Even Jose has said we need to get some players off the books as not everyone is going to get game time.

IN
CB: Dias would be a dream but at 80m euro I doubt it. Kim min Jae is more likely for a quarter of the price but he would be my second choice.
DM: Sangare is available on the cheap and would provide competition at the base of the midfield for Hojbjerg and be able to step up if the Dane gets injured. Skipp will be ready next season perhaps, but we need two options for this year.
ST: Weghorst. I think he's the best option available right now.

Honourable mention: Daka. Absolutely not going to happen this year but this lad for me should be our #1 transfer target next summer. He can play off the wing or up top by himself.

Out
Foyth: Sorry, but he's not done enough to earn my trust back there in a two and I cannot see him getting the minutes with us to do so. Maybe he comes on leaps and bounds after he leaves us but he is one of the few players in our squad that we don't really need but can also fetch a decent price.
Sissoko: We have too many players in CM that can neither screen the defence alone nor do enough going forwards to be a #8. Sissoko is behind Winks for me and would be fine to leave this window, especially if we go for my second target.
Rose: A shame that it's ended this way, but Rose is now frozen out and seemingly has no place in the squad with Reguilon, Davies, Sessegnon and Cirkin all in the squad. I'd like him to get a move that works for him though, even if it does mean that we let him go for £1-2m less than someone like Genoa offered.

I want to see us play 4-3-3 with Kane, Bale and Son up top, supported by Moura, Bergwijn and another CF. The CF needs to be a big brute of a player who can dominate CBs. Weghorst would be perfect.

The 3 in midfield would ideally have a mix of:
  1. A ball winning anchor (Hojbjerg). Do not think Winks or Sissoko are adequate back up as neither are this type of player.
  2. A box to box player (Lo Celso). Dele will need to reinvent himself here to stay in the squad IMO as he won't get in the front three. Winks, Gedson or Sissoko also contenders for this role. But we only need one of the four.
  3. A conductor who can make things happen (Ndombele). Lamela, Dele and Winks are not this type of player.
In a perfect world we'd sign a specialist DCM and an ACM (a Coutinho/Eriksen type to upgrade on Lamela who simply does not score or assist enough despite a great work ethic).

Lastly, in a perfect world, we'd sign a really top class central defender. Someone who is experienced (27+), fast, and a leader. Someone who can replace Toby as his legs go and lead Dier and Sanchez. If money was no object then Koulibaly would be perfect. More realistically if we want someone this summer we may need to get someone like DIAS in.

LLORIS / Hart
DOHERTY / Tanganga ALDERWEIRELD / Sanchez DIER / NEW CB REGUILON / Davies
NDOMBELE / NEW ACM HØJBJERG / NEW DCM LO CELSO / Dele
BALE / Moura KANE / WEGHORST SON / Bergwijn

Need: CB, DCM, CAM, CF
Surplus: Aurier, Foyth, Winks, Sessegnon, Gedson, Sissoko, Lamela

My wish list:

Buys

Bale
- We need winners. We need to show ambition if we want to keep Kane. I can see this happening.
Reguillon - Probably the hardest position to find quality and he is probably the best available and at a decent price.
Daka - I honestly don't know who. There are so many names foating around and I don't know enough to work out who I'd prefer. If we sign Bale, then I'm less concerned about having a ready-to-go forward and am happier that it's a kid who's mainly potential. Daka would seem to fit that bill but so do many of the others we've been linked with. If we don't get Bale then I'd lean towards Vinicius.

Sells

Aurier
- Complete liability.
Sissoko - This one's problematic because of how"popular" he is but he's just not that good. I'm assuming Ndombele comes good and fills that box to box role.
Lamela - A tough one but given injuries and end product, I think it's time to reluctantly move him on.

Hi @SteveHitchen, glad you were paying attention to this! :p

2 off my list already. I know the 3rd one isn't Happening.

Seems ridiculous to expect anything else but given that this transfer window is exactly that I'm going to make a new wishlist.

Edouard - Looks to have all the qualities we need from a striker who could play with Kane and the deal looks doable with some magic around that sell-on fee.

Ruben Dias - I think we need a new centre back desperately. I thought we'd be okay for the season but given the transfers we've already done, the central defence suddenly looks like a massive weak link. Let's get Dias and replace Toby.

Puig - We've been keen for ages and I've heard that Barca are prepared to let him go, could be a huge coup and he'd fit perfectly into adding to our midfield options.

Puig would be a really astute pick up. We’ve looked at him before I believe. And with Koeman now freezing him out and our midfield lacking a bit of guile I think it makes sense all round.
Id like to know why Koeman doesnt fancy him

Out: Rose, Aurier, Foyth, Sissoko, Carter Vickers and Gazzinga (waste of an overseas squad position).

Loan: Clarke and Cirkin.

In: Edouard, Dias, and Aarons.

To complete an outstanding transfer:

in: Edouard, Dias and a cdm. If we’re spending big money then Zakaria.
Out: Rose, Gazzaniga, CCV plus Foyth and sessegnon (loans)

Looking at it from a squad POV and registration rules we need to lose 3 non HG players if the two players we bring in are non HG.

I see us changing from 4231 also so think we need to balance numbers in the right areas.

Sell CCV, Lamela, Foyth and terminate Gedsons loan.

Loan Sess and Clarke, I may be open to loaning Tanganga if we bring in a top CB and he received a good loan option.

Bring in Wout and Dias, two quality options who lift the overall squad and team to the best level I have seen.

That would leave us with the following squad.

Lloris/Hart/Gazza
Doc/Aurier
Toby/Dier
Sanchez/Dias
Sergio/Davies
PEH/Sissoko
GLC/Winks
Ndombele/Dele
Bale/Lucas
Son/Stevie
Kane/Wout

With Tanganga, Cirkin and White still in the squad.

Would love another DM as an upgrade on Sissoko but I don't think it would be realistic and getting the two players mentioned in would have been a fantastic window.

At this point:

sell: Rose, CCV, Foyth, Gazzaniga

buy: Ruben Dias, a center forward (Weghorst would do) but prefer Odsonne Eduoard and an 8/10 combo like Gio but don’t think we’d be able to achieve that this window.

Dias and Florentino Luis double special, Weghorst, Puig. Asking for another quality CB would be probably too much. EDIT: Sabitzer left out on the bench, get him in too. Sign everyone, except Lingard.

Can someone confirm I'm understanding the loan rules correctly?

As far as I know we now can't loan another player without sending Gedson back (or making him a permanent signing) as it's 2 loans max at any one time?

Even if we did send him back, we couldn't loan another Madrid player as it's one player per club?

Is that correct?
