I've just put a score on 5-0 and 5-1 to us.

Having just returned from 6 months in the wilderness I really ought to have spent a few minutes reading up on how good we are up front before I done that!

Ah well, fifty quid donation to the site if either comes in!

I'd like to see Lamela as a CF behind/next to Soldado or Ade. Probably won't happen but I still have a feeling he's going to score tonight.

Perfect game to give Kane his chance upfront, see if he grabs the opportunity, what will we learn from Defoe, nowt.

there's going to be some empty seats there tonight accident on the M11 the police have closed it completely before the woodford bridge. I've been sitting with the engine off for an hour now and it'll be another hour or two before we go anywhere I reckon.
Ah well I've set it to record so I can watch it tomorrow.

He is bound to play Defoe as he is in sight of the record. Then if he gets it we might see Kane fro the last couple of games in the group
I sincerely hope management isn't picking Defoe on the basis of the goalscoring record.

It should be more to do with picking players who are looking to impress and make a valid contribution in our league campaign.

if i remember correctly this lot gave us a good game last time.

True but Defoe's done ok against better teams. I also think that they won't be the same team away from home.

I think that and wanting to get the three points first. Not sure if Defoe figures in his plans but then I am not sure what striker we have is

If that means Lennon is starting on Sunday...

:(

I have no issues with Lennon starting, but if he starts on the left he might as well be put in an old fashioned diving suit and dumped in the desert, for all the good he'll be able to do for us.

I'll be disappointed if Eriksen sysrts. I want both him and Holtby starting on Sunday. The sooner we get them in the starting line up the more opportunities Soldado will get.

While I enjoy reading the match threads post game, I can't understand you mentalists who watch the game and post on here at the same time. Why do it to yourself?

The sooner Eriksen and Lamela acclimatise and get their confidence up the better which is why it's imperative both start tonight.

Exactly, it seems the only way ether will get anywhere near the first team in the PL is if they shine in Europe. For that reason alone i hope they both play the majority of the match.

Think its inevitable that Defoe will start tonight - but maybe AVB will start Kane as the left sided forward as Defoe and Kane played that way agaist Hull in the cup for the last 45 minutes
