With Kaboul and Rose still out it sounds like we'll basically be seeing our first choice defence tonight (although presumably Naughton will play).

I'd like to see us go with the following:

Chadli ----------Eriksen ---------------Lamela

---------------------Kane------------------------

Swap Chad and Lamela and i would be happy with that. Funny, before Townsend started shinning and Sig started scoring, most of us would have expected this to be our primary attacking midfield line up. Be nice to see if it would work, and i would love to see Holtby sitting deeper behind the number 10. My only wish would be to see Lamela behind the striker instead of on the wing.

To be honest, I think Friedal will have time to stop and cook an omlette in his penalty box during tonights match so you can get the best both worlds.

I still think that ultimately AVB wants to use Lamela and Chadli rather than Siggy and Townsend, but fair play to him he's currently going with the form players at the moment.

If we get Chadli, Eriksen and Lamela firing I think we'll look like a much more technically astute team, so would be good to give them a go together tonight.

Really hope we see more than a passing glimpse of Kane after an excellent cameo against Hull.

Defoe's record is decent in Europe but his general play has been shocking - give Kane a chance!

He is bound to play Defoe as he is in sight of the record. Then if he gets it we might see Kane fro the last couple of games in the group
