2 UEFA Cups, 8 FA Cups. 20, even 10 yrs ago they meant something. That's why were rightly part of the "big 5". Now, we have fans already willing the club to fuck off our EL campaign next season.

Great memories and a horrible reminder of how hollow and vacuous things are right now.

I've yet to work out why coming fourth in the league and winning the square-root of fuck all is seen as being a better season than winning the UEFA or FA Cup.

I think it depends on your definition of success tbh. If it is to give yourself the opportunity to play against some of the World's best player and earn the club in excess of 20 million pound than I can easily see why it is. On the other hand if you measure success by the size of your trophy cabinet I can equally see why it is not really success.

Far too simplistic. Regular participation in the Champions League boosts your chances of winning other trophies, and not just one off trophies, you can build dynasties.

Trophies are great, I love them, but we need to be in the Champions League.

Exactly. Champions League brings revenue streams that winning the odd Uefa cup can't bring. It enables you to attract the best and consistently make finals.

As a 9 year old I scored 4/5 penalties vs Tony Parkes in 1989

One of the best days of my childhood.(y)

I was born in 1979, so I have no recollection of this game at all.

My first memory of a Spurs game was the 1987 FA Cup final. No more need be said there, really.

The memories of the Champions League are very special. I loved every moment we were in it and sincerely hope we return very soon.

But winning trophies for me is what the sport is all about.
