I disagree with some of the evaluation of Eriksen.
First of all lets remember that Eriksen is just 21. Now how many 21 yr old footballers in the world have 35+ caps for the national team, a decent team which generally makes it to world cups.
Some say he goes missing in big games and is inconsistent. FFS he is just 21 and what was likes of Bale, Drogba at 21 ?
He brings in certain qualitites we do not have. We have been crying out for a proper corner/dead ball taker. Half of his assist comes in from dead ball/corners. With a strong team like us what we need is proper delivery. Whether Bale or Gylfi or Hudd sald we have not got proper delivery. That is one place we will be deadly.
In last 3 seasons he has scored 32 goals & 65 assists. Surely thats should mean something ?
Then of course his game in open plays - most of the time he struggles, its in games where Ajax don't have possession a lot. When the team has the possession he does find the man. In our team, with good ball retrievers like Capoue, Sandro, Paulinho, Dembele - I can see likes of Eriksen, Lamela have more time on ball and find forwards like Soldado.
I dont understand - people have more confidence in Willian who played in worse league than Dutch and not in Eriksen, who has hardly put a foot wrong.
He goes missing in big games - yet last season has 4 assists & a goal for Ajax against CL teams like City, RM, Dortmund
