Can everyone shut the fuck up about Donna Cullen's looks/duties/favourite food, the clearly unfunny people claiming shit jokes are banter, the sensitive souls unhappy with said 'banter' and anything else anyone wants to make into a boring discussion that nobody wants to read.

I would advise just deleting this thread and going again tomorrow with normal rules applied.

Whilst I understand this is a big part of his reasoning.

2 questions

1. Does this not fly totally in the face of him saying (and it being documented) on numerous occasions that the stadium would not affect the players and acquisitions budget ?
2. Do you really believe we would have started pushing the boat out this summer ?, or do you think we would have spent just enough to give decent chance of Top 4 and started building the hotel, museum and flats to increase the asset ? I know which option I think is infinitely more likely

I don’t think you can’t take comments anyone at the club makes in public/to the press at face value. When Levy talks pretty much everything he says seems calculated and has a purpose.

On the second one, I can’t answer that. I think with an extra season in the stadium and all the other events (boxing, concerts, NFL etc) there would have been a higher spend. That’s just my opinion though, it means jack shit.

Tbf I don’t think there has ever been a criteria age wise or indeed intelligence wise to the participation in here. There are of course rules, but as long as those are adhered to then it’s difficult. ‘We’re all adults’ may not even be true. Not suggesting we should (collectively) accept these comments, but some standards may not be as high as your own. Devils advocate and ‘just saying‘.

Some may not be 'adults' you're right. However, it's never too early to learn that insulting someone's looks for a laugh on the internet is pretty crappy behaviour. I wouldn't even say my standards are high, just see it as common human decency in a time where mental health has never been more important than now. As someone who has received abuse in the past over my looks, my fandoms, I take exception to it.

I don’t want to jump on the bandwagon here, but the weirdest (but not the worst) thing about all of this is the hate for Donna Cullen.

If you knew who she was or how the club works, you’d know that she has next to nothing to do with transfers or that budgeting so I don’t see why she’s relevant in this thread. She’s also arguably the most engaged member in terms of our foundation and charitable causes like Noah’s Ark, getting the players out to support local causes etc.

Ok Donna that's enough self promotion for one night.

Since there seems to be an amnesty here I will post.

If Jose gets who he wants will that make a difference to that dross of a game we saw yesterday? He had two players that he sanctioned, Doherty and Hojbjerg and they in no way played any better than who we already had. Please do not excuse them by saying its their first competitive match for us as both are seasoned Premier League players.
