Good chance Laporte will join this summer been talking with his camp for months also could be followed by Evan ndicka on a free once the manager has been sorted in the coming weeks
Positive news indeed. Laporte would be an excellent buy. I don't get why Ndicka would come tho. Why would he go somewhere he would be a back up and I really don't see Slot changing to a 3 at the back. He was also reported as wanting large wages. I mean, I wouldn't be against it from happening obviously but I'd be shocked if he agreed to that.

That screams that Ndicka is surprised nobody has fully gone in for him as a free agent yet. His wage and agent fee demands were excessive from reports. I doubt he signs on again.
Yeah especially since Eintracht have had a bad season, haven't qualified for Europe and don't know who their manager will be next season.

Although based on that it's hard to see why he'd want to come here either :ROFLMAO:

You would think that Laporte could be that calming influence that Romero desperately needs next to him. Could be the most important signing of the next few years.

Probably by N'Dicka also being cover for Romero or Laporte shifts across.

And maybe get minutes as 2nd or 3rd choice at LB too. He's quick and a decent footballer.

Hats off would be a sensational move if we pull it off and DOF / Manager are on board.
Also you just have to look down the road to see how important depth in defenders is, Saliba got injured and Arsenal literally fell to pieces. Feels like Ndicka, Laporte, and Raya are all attainable early in the window and would be a massive step in the right direction to getting us back fighting for European places next year

Laporte is the kind of signing loads of people bang on about. The “experienced” defender, like Perisic was supposed to be. The difference this time is Laporte is still very much in his prime. If there’s a possibility to get it done we should move heaven and earth to do it. He would be the leader we need, a winner, a ball playing CB with immense composure and a mentor for Romero. If you want to look up “Perfect signing for Tottenham” this guys face is the first thing you’d see

Peresic to me is not a defender, he is wasted playing there. Needs to be up the pitch where he is most dangerous and not stuck in defense or having to play wingback, even if he's still fit, it will take its toll on him at his age.

The guy literally said the manager would have the sign off. And it’s being discussed with the target.

It would negligent for the club NOT to line up deals ready for the summer.
Wasn’t there a comment (I think from one of our ITKs) recently about Leonardo Gabbanini working hard behind the scenes

There's enough links now coming out of the Netherlands for Orkun Kokcu to accompany him with Arne Slot to us so would be worthy to have a player thread created to save spamming the main thread.
