Can't say I understand the meltdown, it's been a middle of the road okay transfer window in my opinion. Happy with the players we've signed and let go but still some gaps in the squad.

Scarlett may turn out to be the bee’s knees, but relying on a 17-year old kid as our back-up striker is quite a gamble IMO.
Agree with that, but at the same time, buying a forward just for the sake of buying one is (imo) even worse. Just look at the Ndombele-conundrum we find ourselves in.

There's a few examples of young players making it at Dane's age, like Bellingham (or Rooney if we want a real throwback) but I agree it's rare.

Sarr doesn't count in my book.

Of course he doesn’t, he won’t kick a ball for us for at least 12 months. Gollini isn’t exactly anything to shout about either considering he’s a back up keeper.

Players that definitely improve the first 11 - Romero, possibly Gil, and possibly Emerson.

The Goat said he won’t allow the sale of SB to raise funds/make space in the squad.
I interpreted this and all of the ITK from the last day to be linked to the Traore deal. I assumed it was always going to require one of Lucas or Bergwijn to be shifted.

Yes, ITK said 1 FW in if Kane stays, two if he goes. That is not the club (not panning ITK here) I am sure if we could have found a Cavani or Llorente or Dzeko or similar who was willing to come in and accept the role, they would have been signed. Who out there fits the mold? Not Ings, he wants to be playing, not watching. Not Daka who would just be in a situation like Vinicius was last year. Sit and watch is not acceptable for those types of players. Either would only play when/if Harry was not. So we could have signed Vinicius, but, again, someone would have had to go to allow that player to come in. Instead, Sissoko, Alderweirald, Vinicius, Hart, Lamela (from last year's roster) have gone and been replaced by Gollini, Gil, Romero, Emerson, Skipp and Sessegnon. Only balances because Aurier was not going to be part of the squad (and it looks like he and Spurs are negotiating out of the remaining year). Essentially, 6 in and 6 out. We had a full squad and have a full squad - others in mean others out. Even if there remain players we want, who want to come, and whose clubs are willing to sell, there is the matter of who goes. This is an issue at every club who participate in 4 competitions a year. It is not just a Spurs problem.

Spurs and other clubs can be rumoured to be in for Isco all they want, but none of that means Isco wants to go. Spurs is not a step up from RM. Bale only came because sitting on the bench at RM was not going to see him ready for the Euros. Fact he was already a fan favourite made it an easy choice.

Tertiary scoring solution is to get as many of Dele, Sessegnon, Gio, Moura, Bergwijn scoring as possible and maybe get Scarlett going. Dele has one and has missed three sitters. So he has already surpassed last year. Get him back to the 2016/2017 Dele Alli and that will be all the goals from Dele, Moura, Gio, Bale, Vinicius and Bergwijn from last year, and then some. Just saying. He's only 25. Lots more chapters to be written and it seems he is doing what is being asked of him by Nuno and getting in to good positions. That's already a huge step forward.
