Hmm, so according Kaveh on Sky Burnley has been offered the chance to sign McKennie on loan. We have definitely been interested and it seems as Paratici has been wanting to replace Sissoko with someone (if that player is not Skipp). If Burnley can do it we could as well. So we're choosing not to? Aouar was also there to take. Maybe we're satisfied with our midfields options when Tanguy ultimately stayed. Looks like that anyways... but as Trix alluded to, there will be players offered around. Let's hope someone who rocks our boat get's offered I guess.

Crikey - I know they are a little bit "different" over that way, but I hadn't realised they had their own regional version of Sky :cautious:

To me it reads like the same old story, we are not able to shift enough deadwood out to allow further in-comings. We cannot be paying 30 employees with a budget for 25. Still think we need to be more realistic in letting players go, whether that be on sale or on loan, with perhaps us subsidising the wages.
Again we hear of Levy interfering in the footballing side of things, despite hiring Fab to do this, he just cannot let it go and never seems to learn.

Re: today’s ITK and general lack of deadline day activity, I’m surprised there isn’t more dialogue around the main reason we are no longer expected to make any signings is our squad management rather than our lack of financial capability / Levy U-turn.

If we complete the signing of Emerson as expected, we’ll currently be have 18 non-HG players in European competition (1 over the allocated 17 spots).

And yes, we are currently fine on the non-HG front in the Premier League… just not for Europe.

I’d imagine we were expecting to shift at least 2 of Aurier, Doherty (non-HG in Europe) and Ndombele. With Aurier already looking to be the main candidate to be left out of our squad if all 3 remain, it’s unlikely we’ll see any movement for foreign players today unless Doherty or Ndombele depart.

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I do not get why people get excited and believe that things will ever change whilst levy is in charge. He will never change, he only cares about off the field business success, which is what his bonus is based on. He will never put the business (spurs) in the red and risk his bonus from old Uncle Joe, who's finances have increased massively during covid.

Levy expects us to get champions league without the budget for it, he expects miracles that other managers were able to provide and will never push the transfers to take us to the next level. He will always use the lack of champions league football as an excuse, then when we are in the champions league, find some other excuse to make 160m profit and hail its as a great year whilst the team regresses on the field. Until the club is sold and he is gone I will never get excited over a big transfer window.

Levy is not completely to blame, to be honest I do not blame him for not sanctioning big transfers and pushing the boat out when our scouting department fails so catastrophically to identify talent that will actually work in the premier league or in the system that we play.

I genuinely believe if we sign Traore and a decent creative CM, we will challenge for top 4 well. But levy will never take the risk that it does not come off.

If we sold more players I believe it would be different, but it is clearly 1 in one out, and the Ndombele situation I think has created significant problems for us. He will be reintergrated but he will not work out as it will be the same story with him.

I think we have looked poor bar maybe the city game, the team is severely lacking creativity, which maybe lo celso can improve but if we go into games with that midfield and tanganga, we will continue to create very little. It is very worrying and the same as under Mourinho we are flattering to deceive. People say we look more defensively sound, but do we? We had a good spell under Mourinho and we rode our luck like we are doing now, because I am telling you now, we made Watford and Wolves look like class sides and if they took a single chance things would be very different. This team is no different and we are one dier, sanchez mistake from conceding and then I believe the team will collapse the same as last year.

The only hope we have is that other teams struggle this year also, top 6 is a pipedream as it stands if Leicester start to perform and 1 other side. you just wait until we play Chelsea, it will be 3/4 - 0 and we will see just how poor we are.

Emerson is an improvement, because as good as Tanganga is defensively, he is woeful going forward, so hopefully he plays in games where we are going to be on the front foot, but if Skipp Alli and Hojberg play, we will continue to struggle.

People saying Traore is not worth 50m, but he is a big upgrade on Berg and Moura, I am sick of watching both of them do nothing, Moura beats men in the wrong part of the pitch then dribbles down blind alleys, Berg has ok decision making, but its particularly effective at anything, so I would much rather sell Moura and bring in Traore, at least he is miles better at what those two do, which is cause a bit of havoc and beat a man.

This team has huge flaws, and we can say all we want we are building for the future, but in 2 years Kane and Son will massively regress and well have nothing, because we will not replace them with quality any where near them ever again.

I will always support us and watch us, but if I have to continue to watch the dross we have seen this season and last and continue to never sign the right talent or spend the money, I will do so less and less. I am a fan who is losing faith and its getting to the point where I will not miss other events to watch us now, the joy is being taken away.

Long time lurker.

Ha ha, I have been saving all the posts up for one almighty post. Don't worry, I will vanish back into the shadows in anger.

Lo Celso is no better than Nicola Berti and NDombele is possibly the laziest, most disinterested player we’ve had in 20 years at the club. Our “creative” midfielders don’t exist - so surely the club can’t be happy with those options!

No the club can't be happy, but that is £90m of assets and up to £300k a week in wages. You can't just chalk them down as a loss unless you are Chelsea or City. We have to try and get something out of these players this season.

I still think GLC can come good. Just needs to stay injury free. NDombele I've given up on, but I do love a redemption story.

Nonsense. Watford created fuck all and we dominated the 2nd half and Wolves only had one clear chance against us - they created more against United.
but in 2 years Kane and Son will massively regress
Based on what???

Talking about meltdowns apparently "FSG out" is trending with Liverpool fans.
Arsenal are hanging on a player we've had all summer but took a better option.
We no doubt haven't done enough for some people and some more might be nice but we have still done well enough for now.
A bloody good start in this man's opinion.

I’ll be pissed off if Aurier is left out of the squad and Ndombele included. At least Aurier looks like he gives a shit and actually wants to play.

Jesus Christ, you have to be absolutely retarded to both make up the 'ITK' and then in turn actually believe this nonsense. It's been an interesting ride, but this last moronic invention actually brought my IQ down by 10 points. And it was low as it was.

So that's it for me in this community, I'll enjoy my coming ban, and trust you'll do the same.

Toodles, lads.

Absolutely horrible!
