Would we really spend a year bedding him in and developing him without a option to buy. If he turned out to be a good addition we would want him to stay. I just can't see it.

This is really more a conversation for the player thread but I think in this particular circumstance it makes sense.

Injuries are the main reason we don't have sufficient cover for Dembele and Eriksen right now. Bringing in a stopgap loan solution to the problem buys us the time we need to see how Onomah performs on loan, allow Lamela to potentially return to fitness, and allow Barkley time to recover and be brought in for a reduced free (or for free next summer).

We'd be better off with a talented player on loan to cover for those two than with no one.

That may be the case, but we now have 3 ITKs giving varying suggestive degrees of a thumbs up off the back of the guess.

If the cryptic is Andre Gomes there's enough reason to suggest we may be enquiring after both of these players

Bale meltdown still takes the prize for me...but if this keeps up for a few hours someone will soon be able to connect Jehovah with the likes of Thomas Brolin or Savo Milosevic...then I'd reconsider...

Sheeit, I've only gone and Google'd and YouTubed him......Fuck he looks good (Gelson Martins), 14 assists last year too. There's no player thread too, so that fits.

Right age, skill set and a realistic price/release clause (in today's market) and wages shouldn't be a problem. If Levy pulls the trigger on this (assuming it's a correct guess) then we should have enough to win the league imho
